Retired Standing Army Brass Urge Congress to Neuter Militia with Infringements

“Potentially dangerous” is now a disqualifier? And if Gen. McChrystal is really concerned about training, why isn’t he reminding Congress of its duties in that regard? (Giffords/Twitter)

“Sixteen of the nation’s top retired military commanders are urging Congress to pass gun control legislation, arguing that there are many steps that can be taken to curb gun deaths that do not violate the Second Amendment,” The Washington Post parroted Saturday.

That’s a neat trick. It evokes nothing so much as a paraphrasing of Bill Clinton:

It depends upon what the meaning of the word “infringe” is.

Here’s the letter, being sent to Republican and Democrat Senate and House leadership under the banner of “Giffords,” formerly the Orwellian-named “Americans for Responsible Solutions.” That’s unsurprising because, as we’ve seen in past attempts at Second Amendment subversion, the Gungrabby Gabby Group has capitalized in the past by getting a high profile “Veteran’s Coalition” to sign on to its citizen disarmament agenda, including David Petraeus, Stanley McChrystal and others.

“As former military leaders, we took an oath to support and defend the Constitution and developed considerable expertise in the use of firearms,” the letter begins.  It then proceeds to ignore everything the Constitution has to say about the Second Amendment and devolves into narrative talking points that sound more like they were put together by Madison Avenue types than by fighting men who know what it would take for Congress to obey its mandate and ensure the people are armed and prepared to fulfill their duties as members of the Militia.

“[A]s members of the Giffords Veterans Coalition, we believe that there is much Congress can do to reduce gun violence without violating the Second Amendment — which we explicitly support,” they lie. Nowhere do they make good on their meaningless words and unequivocally explain how that can be done. Nor do they define what they believe the Second Amendment actually says and means.

So exactly what is it they “explicitly support”? Notice they don’t (and won’t) say.

Instead they write of “credible polling,” presuming subject matter competence from those whose knowledge of the right to keep and bear arms consists of what the ignorant/deceptive agenda media feeds them. And they follow with a litany of lies and misdirection to mask that what they’re really talking about is imposing prior restraints, enabling registration, denying to civilians non-sporting weaponry, funding anti-gun propaganda, enforcing existing Intolerable Acts and denying  a fundamental right without due process.

That’s after Nancy Pelosi ‘fessed up to a “slippery slope” where no concessions will be enough. Hell, the people they’re joining forces with just called for restrictions on muzzleloaders and even on shutting down websites.

These are the names of those who have chosen to take sides against your rights and with those who would take them from you:

Admiral Thad Allen, USCG (Ret.)

General Peter W. Chiarelli, USA (Ret.)

General Wesley Clark, USA (Ret.)

General Michael V. Hayden, USA (Ret.)

General James T. Hill, USA (Ret.)

Admiral James M. Loy, USCG (Ret.)

General Stanley A. McChrystal, USA (Ret.)

Admiral Eric T. Olson, USN (Ret.)

General David H. Petraeus, USA (Ret.)

Vice Admiral Lee Gunn, USN (Ret.)

Lieutenant General Mark Hertling, USA (Ret.)

Lieutenant General Russel Honoré, USA (Ret.)

Lieutenant General Claudia J. Kennedy, USA (Ret.)

Lieutenant General Norman R. Seip, USAF (Ret.)

Brigadier General Stephen A. Cheney, USMC (Ret.)

Rear Admiral James Barnett Jr., USN (Ret.)

That the prominent military leaders signing the letter willingly lend their names and reputations to advance a naked power grab agenda speaks of loyalty going first to the establishment they serve. It ought to make all consider the fears the Founders had of a standing army.

Unlike Oath Keepers, the 16 generals and admirals on the list would obey orders to disarm the American people. Noting the subversive blather they have lent their names to, it’s fair to conclude they would happily issue them, especially if it meant even more personal advancement within the establishment.

It is believed that the 10 Commandments came into existence during the 13th or 14th century BC. It is also believed that those imperatives mean exactly what they say, and are not suggestions or recommendations, but Commandments. Mankind generally lead by men occupying high places of authority, for thousands of years, has been looking for loopholes and word-twisting those commandments – – going so far as to deny the very existence of the God who dictated them in order to justify its disobedience and accomplish its own varying objectives.
Likewise OUR Constitution, which has existed for only a fraction of the life span of the 10 Commandments, has suffered its share of “slings and arrows”. The Constitution of the united States, not unlike the 10 Commandments, also means exactly what it says and does not exist as a list of suggestions, but as a foundation of orders (commandments) that dictate the responsibilities, powers, and limitations placed upon the federal government. Our Constitution and its framers, not unlike the 10 Commandments, has also been attacked by those who seek to justify their own opinions and self serving desires by ridiculing the honorable men who drafted the sacred words, along the men who later ratified the same.
Sadly, many who have ascribed to OUR Constitution and have sworn to defend it have later, in order to attempt to justify their personal opinions, decided that it doesn’t really mean what it says and want to twist its words to fit their own agenda. This is nothing new. OUR Constitution has been under attack for over two hundred years. The enemy never rests.
Those of us who believe in the rule of law, who believe that OUR Constitution really says what it means and means what it says cannot afford to relax our vigilance. There are traitors in our midst.

Those “top brass’ wh willingly and openly admit that they took the REQUIRED Oath to “SUPPORT AND DEFEND” the US Constitution know that they are personally responsible for their actions while serving. Breaking the Oath is a felony and Perjury.

Now add to those crimes the other crimes they committed BEFORE retiring, all those unlawful wars of aggression, all those murdered and maimed at their UNLAWFUL orders. If we let the US Constitution stand, if we require it being followed as the CONTRACT for all who serve/served within our governments at all levels, they will face prosecution, loss of $$$,loss of power, loss of prestige. They are knowingly responsible for the state that our nation is in, for working against our nation from the inside – and I have been saying that since Bush 1 – and now are feeling that they have caused enough destruction to our nation that they, like the Clinton’s, the Bush’s, etc can say and or do anything and nothing will come of it. The sheeple will fall at their whim, will bow down and cry, will stand up and hold their children while being shot.

News for them, there are still some Americans left. Not all are those poor dumbed down, medicated, cream puffs of this latest generation – not even those of that generation.

The Militia of the several are the constitutionally LAWFUL groups, the ones that are REQUIRED in writing to DEFEND our nation when trained and educated as required so that there would NOT be a huge military that would impoverish and destroy our nation from within – go read it for yourselves. NO MILITARY is to exist, only the Militia. Just like only a REAL Congress is the only ones who can send Americans into wars, you knkow, DEFENSE of our land instead of wars of aggression.

      See where we are?

People need to go back to school. The “militia” includes ALL able bodied males between the ages of 16 and 65, who are ready to respond to a national emergency with their personal arms. Training is NOT required beyond the normal ability to load, fire and maintain a firearm. So said James Madison and George Mason in testimony before the several legislatures, and so recorded, during the Constitutional ratification period. None other than Gen George Washington stated, ‘I disdain the militia for they lack military training and discipline, and, at the first volley are most often fled from the field to hide behind trees and walls.’ Madison and Mason further stated that every person has the right to hunt and defend themselves, and that those activities are set apart from militia actions, though it gives them instruction in the use of firearms for hunting and defense. Based upon the testimony of Madison and Mason, the 2nd Amendment was included as written, and the Constitution was thereafter ratified. Afterward, as each state constructed a state constitution, the words of the 2nd Amendment were echo the US Constitution.

Since the words of the authors still remain to us as “best evidence”, no court, legislature, or executive may “interpret” or “re-interpret” the words and intent of the authors without following the amendment process or calling a Constitutional Convention.

Thomas Jefferson stated that in the case of individual rights, no change may be left to politicians or judges. That any change to an individual right acknowledged and guaranteed by the government must be by the whole of the people, for if rights be changed by the powers of government, then they are not guaranteed, which may go on to change any of the Peoples’ Rights at will.

George Washington, and others among the Founding Fathers, made the importance of the 2nd Amendment so clearly evident. Washington stated that the 2nd gave the People teeth to defend their other rights.

Anyone who takes an oath, is honor bound to uphold that oath. Failure to do so is tantamount to living outside the law.

Like so many of my comrades in arms, long after I first took my oath of enlistment, and long after my 21+ year career ended, even though I am 100% VA certified disabled by Agent Orange health issues, I continue to live up to my oath.

It’s too bad these gentlemen (by Act of Congress), along with so many of our politicians who claim to represent us, have forgotten the honor, principles, ethics, morals, and traditions which go with that oath.

Nowhere does it say, in any oath, that the giver may pick and choose which portions of the Constitution they will support. Nor does it say anywhere that they may ignore the rights, hopes, and desires of those who did not vote for them. Either we have a 2nd Amendment right for everyone, or we do not. The same applies to all other rights.

The 2nd Amendment, like the others, is not your amendment, nor is it my amendment… it is OUR amendment. Anyone has the right to use it or not use it, and they are free to change their minds about it based on their own life experiences. When one group denies this right to another group, they also deny it to themselves and deny themselves the right to change their mind.

I challenge the people on this list to stand up and be counted. Either they are Americans or they are not. Either they have and display the honor, principles, ethics, morals, and traditions of having given their word of honor.

The Militia of the several states used to be all males because women did not fight wars.

US Constitution, Article 1, Section 8, Clause 16 (The Congress shall have Power …): To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia ACCORDING TO THE DISCIPLINE PRESCRIBED BY CONGRESS”

Richard Henry Lee, 1788: “Whereas, to preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them; nor does it follow from this, that all promiscuously must go into actual service on every occasion. The mind that aims at a select militia, must be influenced by a truly anti-republican principle; and when we see many men disposed to practice upon it, whenever they can prevail, no wonder true republicans are for carefully guarding against it.” (Initiator of the Declaration of Independence, and member of the first Senate, which passed the Bill of Rights)

George Washington: “The Writings of George Washington”: “It may be laid down, as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every citizen who enjoys the protection of a free government…, but even of his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency.” (“Sentiments on a Peace Establishment”, letter to Alexander Hamilton)

“Nowhere does it say, in any oath, that the giver may pick and choose which portions of the Constitution they will support.”

Exactly my point, and no where in the US Constitution does it give authority to the Office of the President, nor to the UNLAWFUL standing military brass, nor to the UN or Nato, nor to any other except those that serve within our Congress to declare war and to send our people out to attack foreign nations without that declaration by those serving in the Congress. The last declaration of war by those that serve within our Congress was WW2. Not one battle fought since then has been LAWFUL and constitutional. Instead, Domestic enemies of our nation, some traitors that have never been prosecuted, have been calling up and sending out Americans to UNLAWFUL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL wars of aggression.

US Constitution, Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 (The Congress shall have Power …) : “To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water”.

Clause 12: “To raise and support Armies, but NO APPROPRIATION OF MONEY TO THAT USE SHALL BE FOR A LONGER TERM THEN TWO YEARS”. (caps are mine)

James Madison: “The power to declare war, including the power of judging the causes of war, is fully and exclusively vested in the legislature … the executive has no right, in any case, to decide the question, whether there is or is not cause for declaring war.”

George Washington: “The constitution vests the power of declaring war in Congress; therefore no offensive expedition of importance can be undertaken until after they shall have deliberated upon the subject and authorized such a measure.”

James Madison: “In time of actual war, great discretionary powers are constantly given to the Executive Magistrate. Constant apprehension of War, has the same tendency to render the head too large for the body. A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defence against foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Among the Romans it was a standing maxim to excite a war, whenever a revolt was apprehended. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending, have enslaved the people.”

James Madison: “Of all the enemies to public liberty war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few. … No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.”

Henry Clay: “Far better is it for ourselves, for Hungary, and for the cause of liberty, that … avoiding the distant wars of Europe, we should keep our lamp burning brightly on the western shore, as a light to all nations, than to hazard its utter extinction among the ruins of fallen or falling republics in Europe.”

John Quincy Adams: “Wherever the standard of freedom and independence has been or shall be unfurled there will America’s hearts, her benedictions, and her prayers be. But she goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher of the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.”

George Washington: “It is our true policy to steer clear of entangling alliances with any portion of the foreign world. The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is, in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible.”

Thomas Jefferson: “I have ever deemed it fundamental for the United States never to take active part in the quarrels of Europe. Their political interests are entirely distinct from ours. Their mutual jealousies, their balance of power, their complicated alliances, their forms and principles of government, are all foreign to us. They are nations of eternal war. “

John Quincy Adams: “America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She well knows that by enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom.”

James Wilson: “I leave it to every gentleman to say whether the enumerated powers are not as accurately and MINUTELY DEFINED, as can be well done on the same subject, in the same language…nor does it, in any degree, go beyond the particular enumeration; for, when it is said that Congress shall have power to make all laws which shall be necessary and proper, those words are LIMITED AND DEFINED by the following, “for carrying into execution the foregoing powers”, it is saying no more than that the powers we have already particularly given (enumerated), shall be effectually carried into execution.”

Cicero, 55 BC: “A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

This is why the Oath is to the US Constitution…
          J. Reuben Clark: “God provided that in this land of liberty, OUR POLITICAL ALLEGIANCE SHALL RUN NOT TO INDIVIDUALS, that is, TO GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS, NO MATTER HOW GREAT OR HOW SMALL THEY MAY BE. Under His plan OUR ALLEGIANCE AND THE ONLY ALLEGIANCE WE OWE AS CITIZENS OR DENIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES, RUNS TO OUR INSPIRED CONSTITUTION which God himself set up. SO RUNS THE OATH OF OFFICE OF THOSE WHO PARTICIPATE IN GOVERNMENT. A certain loyalty we do owe to the office which a man holds, but even here we owe just by reason of our citizenship, no loyalty to the man himself. In other countries it is to the individual that allegiance runs. THIS PRINCIPLE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE CONSTITUTION IS BASIC TO OUR FREEDOM. It is one of the great principles that distinguishes this “land of liberty” from other countries”.

      It goes way beyond that.

Were you aware that our military are used as test subjects for vaccines, other toxic sustances, etc?

How about when Panetta and Demspey gave the US Military to the UN to USE? Yeah, I fought for treason charges against them and you can see what has happened – NOTHING.

I belive our last decent, honest, American military brass was Smedley Butler.

The rest sold our nation out, works against it, and you can tell by all these UNLAWFUL “wars”. They are forbidden in the CONTRACT that those miltiary brass are REQUIRED to SUPPORT and DEFEND first before anything else as is reuired of all Oath takers.

Once again, IF you are active military, YOUR Oath is to the US Constitution, not to any person, not to any position, not to any office, not to any agency, not to any entity, etc. To that document. That is what YOU ARE REQUIRED TO SUPPORT AND DEFEND. You are REQUIRED to say “No” to unlawful orders. If there is not a Congress declared war defending our nation because we were attacked, then it is an UNLAWFUL war and we should NOT be there at all.

Because they too are Oath bound to the US Constitution First and foremost BEFORE the orders of superiors and before the duties of the position they occupy. Of course, many have not bothered to read the supreme contract that they are under over and above any other contract because…. ???

They are being USED against our legitimate government and against the American people because of that ignorance or because they are traitors – that is their decision. But, they should remember that in the Nuremberg Trials those people who had not the Oaths to guide their way, nor the morality and honor were held responsible for their actions anyway and hung.

Look at the list of traitors to the Constitution on that list. Globalists. You can’t take over the country if the people have firerms. By the time many men reach General level or Admiral, they have bought into the Globalists manifesto, of not allowing citizens of any country to have guns.. But it goes further than that . They have many goals and the Constitution that we know today will be scrapped and replaced by the one the Globalist have been working on. There will be no borders in certain countries and the US is one, unless the people rise up who are patriots and take a stand. There is much more planned by the Globalists than has been told and not many have this knowledge. The plan is to subjugate the people, bring in a new order, and rule with an iron fist.

While I have great respect for our military, not the least for their oath of allegiance to not our government, but our Constitution, it is nonetheless necessary to remind them that they ARE the ‘standing army’ our founding fathers warned us about, and they ARE why our founding fathers recognized our right to keep and bear arms as a fundamental, inherited and unalienable right, beyond the reach of our government and our military. The Second Amendment is part and parcel of your oaths, gentlemen: It is you duty to shut your mouth about our exercise of it.

The only regulation the government is allowed to do is give Americans the training a militia would need . Could be easily called up for natural disasters , and you know they would not be kicking in doors and confiscating firearms .

At this very moment, the Progressives of both parties are attempting a quiet coup, to rest control from the duely elected President of the United States. However you may feel aqbout Mr. Trump (I for one, would have preferred a true Constitutional Conservative), he is the elected commander in chief, failry elected, in spite of Progressive efforts to the contrary. He is being opposed, not because he is a Constutrional Conservative, but merely because he IS NOT ONE OF THEM. If the Globalist Progressives succeed in removing him under questionable circumstancews, we may find ourselves fighting against that list of generals, and their (US!) army. Now, more than any time in the last 156 years, we are in danger of a real civil war. We cannot let ourselves be disarmed, as we may be the only ones standing to uphold our Constitution.

Now some of these people i’d agree, shouldn’t possess arms. However this is another danger to the second amendment due to no due process. Who decides whether an individual should own a firearm?

Colin Greenwood, in the study “Firearms Control”, 1972: “No matter how one approaches the figures, one is forced to the rather startling conclusion that the use of firearms in crime was very much less when there were no controls of any sort and when anyone, convicted criminal or lunatic, could buy any type of firearm without restriction. Half a century of strict controls on pistols has ended, perversely, with a far greater use of this weapon in crime than ever before.”

Remember that he is talking of “governmental controls”, not what we the people controlled and when we exercised and defended our lawful and natural rights. I say that history has proven that less “problems” occuur when it is the PEOPLE who are training, who are keeping and bearing arms. I know that registration of Americans for ANY reason is unlawful and unconstitutional be it for weapons, cars (traveling), etc.

But it is a good way to start to control the people, to know where they are, what they have, etc. I also know that there are unlawful cameras and other spying devices on almost every commercial building, on street lights, corners, billboards, on and inside our homes, etc. NONE of that is LAWFUL or AMERICAN. Yet we are not tearing down those cameras/devices, NSA buildings, removing the UNLAWFUL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL TSA from our airports, bus stations, train stations, off our roads. Nor are we having those who make those “checkpoints” top illegally, unalwfully stop Anericans when there is not crime committed, etc arrested and charged with the felonies, Perjury, etc, etc that they are committing against our LEGITIMATE government and AGAINST THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

IDK, did those in uniform decide to commit those crimes against Americans through ignorance – and there is NO excuse for ignorance as they are Oath bound, or is it through the decision to commit treason against our nation, to be *terrorists working against Americans?

*28 C.F.R. Section 0.85 Terrorism is defined as “the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives”.

Treason – Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution of the United States provides: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

There are 3 elements that are necessary for an offense to constitute treason:
      — an obligation of allegiance to the legal order,
      — intent, and then
      — action to violate that obligation.

Justice William O. Douglas, dissenting, Colten v. Kentucky, 407 U.S. 104 (1972): “Since when have we Americans been expected to bow submissively to authority and speak with awe and reverence to those who represent us? The constitutional theory is that we the people are the sovereigns, the state and federal officials only our agents. We who have the final word can speak softly or angrily. We can seek to challenge and annoy, as we need not stay docile and quiet.”

James Madison, father of our Constitution warned us about kind of government that exercises this arbitrary power: “That is not a just government, nor is property secure under it, where the property which a man has in his personal safety and personal liberty, is violated by arbitrary seizures…” Essay on Property, 1792 and Madison calls this exercise of arbitrary power, “the most compleat despotism.”

Color of law. The appearance or semblance, without the substance, of legal right. Misuse of power, possessed by virtue of state law and made possible only because wrongdoer is clothed with authority of state, is action taken under “color of law.” Black’s Law Dictionary, Fifth Edition, page 241.

The choice is all of ours, what we do, what we enforce, etc. Just say “NO” to unlawful orders, do NOT assist in the destruction of our legitimate government.

So, rather than being part of the solution and helping to bring that civilian population up to speed, and also re-enfranchise many citizens whom the government seems to feel are unworthy, these egocentric, overdecorated shit-for-brains would rather recreate a 1930s Germany in our own back yard …….. for our own safety, of course. As a Military Retiree and private citizen, I believe and support the second Amendment as written, and will always. I took an oath and repeated it many times during my military career , as well as my Civil Service employment, to Protect and Defend the U.S. Constitution, against ALL enemies, both foreign and domestic. Those retired Star Officers who feel otherwise are EXACTLY what the writers of the Constitution meant when they included the word DOMESTIC. They are often times out of control and scary and their previous power of authority makes one wonder how many times they violated their oaths.

        IMO…

Militias [organized or unorganized] must be formally called to Muster. Until a ‘Leader’ rises to the position to activate us [or President Trump takes us up on our many invitations to do so], then we ‘grunts’ will have to focus our individual efforts ‘locally’ until the ‘Reclamation’ process takes effect ‘globally.’

Don’t be ashamed. Without legal formality, ‘walking the walk’ would only get righteous and courageous individuals arrested, or put them in a position to resist dumbfounded LEOs who don’t yet realize that their time to choose a side has come and gone. Either way, it would be destructive to our cause; assuming ‘hearts and minds’ even matter at this point. Death before dishonor!

At the end of the day, non-negotiable Terms of surrender and abolition of ALL THINGS ‘unconstitutional’ – in strict accordance with the Constructionist Interpretation – must be presented to the ‘Tyranny’ and they must have a period of grace to consider and either accept or reject those terms. If accepted, they will either fulfill their obligations immediately, or find themselves in contempt [of terms or deadline] which would negate any prior ‘acceptance’ and trigger the terms associated with outright ‘rejection’; which would be the [inevitable] overthrow of those tyrannical regime(s) which refuse to relinquish their stolen powers and present themselves to be judged for their crimes against our Constitution and Republic.

This is further evidence–if any more were needed–that the “gun control” debate will necessarily come down to the imposition of pervasive “gun control” OR revitalization of the Militia…and if the self-styled champions of the Second Amendment do not focus on its first thirteen words (along with the Militia Clauses of the original Constitution) they will lose this debate, and “a free State” along with it. When mouthpieces for “the standing army” come out of the closet as advocates of disarmament of the citizenry, the true significance of the “gun control” debate becomes crystal clear. The Founders recognized this problem when they differentiated between the regular Armed Forces and the Militia, and assigned to the Militia–not to isolated individuals exercising the NRA’s “individual right to keep and bear arms for the purpose of personal self-defense”–constitutional authority and responsibility they withheld from the Armed Forces. This is a warning that the last moves in the chess game are about to be played–with patriots in this country (if any actually exist) refusing to use their constitutional queen.

I have been preaching for revitalization of Militia for some time now. Make no mistake about it, but the mere mention of Militia brings out the worst in many of those who profess to be pro-2nd and patriots.
I recently had a discussion on a gun forum where I was chastised for bringing about this new idea of Militia, and expecting people to get on board. And all along I thought the first 13 words of the 2nd were clear enough, and certainly around long enough not to have been considered new or unique in any way, shape, or form.

Fully agree, but because of the actions of those first Patriots, we have one other option before the final line is drawn in the sand. A Convention of States. We must get behind this movement in order to allow our states – our citizens – an opportunity to right this “long train of abuses and usurpations…”

So let’s say we get the Convention going. The 3 Branches and their Agencies aren’t adhering to the Constitution now. They have subverted, diverted and perverted the “Bill of Rights,” so what possible Amendment could you pass to bring them into attainment? Those “long train of abuses and usurpations” have been going on for a very long time. The COS was 30- 40 yrs ago. We do have a focusing moment forming, but we let them get too much physical power over the populace.

          Greg,

Why would anyone want the Convention to get going, since there is no way to restrict its purpose? Those who think it can be restricted to specific purposes are just dreaming. And you are right to wonder why they would obey any Constitutional changes when they don’t adhere to the present version of the Constitution. It is not about the Constitution. It is about lawbreakers and oathbreakers.

Your idea of a “convention of the states” is lacking in its reality. Please go read the US Constitution regarding it again. You also might want to go to Publius Huldah’s site, she has it all written down for you and others to read and verify for yourselves.

        https://publiushuldah.wordpress.com/
“The danger of an Article V convention (which made James Madison “tremble”, caused Alexander Hamilton “dread”, and Chief Justice John Jay to say that another convention would impose an “extravagant risque”) is this: the delegates to the convention can run away: instead of proposing amendments to our existing Constitution, they can write a completely new Constitution with a new – and easier – mode of ratification. 1

The convention lobby implicitly acknowledges this danger when they say State Legislatures should pass “unfaithful delegate” laws to control delegates. 2

Accordingly, Wyoming passed a delegate law earlier this year which purports to empower the WY Legislature to “immediately recall” any delegate who makes an “unauthorized vote” at the convention, and to charge with a felony any delegate who fails to follow the WY Legislature’s instructions on what he may do at the convention. The Texas delegate law purports to make “invalid” any “unauthorized vote” at the convention, and to empower the TX Legislature to recall any delegate who violates his instructions. But Tennessee takes the cake with its delegate law: Not only does the TN law purport to “void” votes cast at the convention by TN delegates which are outside the instructions or limits placed on the delegates by the TN Legislature – and then to prosecute such delegates for a felony; the TN law also asserts that if all TN delegates vote or “attempt to vote” outside the scope of the instructions or limits, TN’s previously filed applications for an Article V convention are to be treated as “having no effect at all”. Other States have passed similar laws.

Such laws are contrary to our Founding Principles and are based on false assumptions. Accordingly, they are unenforceable and ineffective.

        1. Self-evident Rights and the Declaration of Independence

The Declaration of Independence is the Fundamental Act of our Founding.3 It declares that all men are created equal; our rights are bestowed by God; our rights are unalienable; and the purpose of government is to secure the rights God gave us.

The Declaration is not “law” in the ordinary sense – it is higher than law, for it sets forth The Divine Standard which a Constitution – and the laws made pursuant to the Constitution – must meet.

It also declares that a People have the self-evident right to throw off their government and set up a new one. With that Principle firmly in mind, let’s look at our first amendments convention; and then, at State unfaithful delegate laws.

        2. The federal convention of 1787

After our Revolution, we operated under our first Constitution, the Articles of Confederation. But there were defects in the Articles, so on Feb. 21, 1787, the Continental Congress called a convention to be held in Philadelphia “for the sole and express purpose of revising the Articles of Confederation”. The States also drafted instructions which purported to restrict delegates to proposing amendments.

But the delegates ignored their instructions and wrote a new Constitution [the one we now have]. In Federalist No. 40 (15th para), Madison invoked the Declaration of Independence and claimed, as justification for what they did,

“…the transcendent and precious right of the people to ‘abolish or alter their governments as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness,’…”

Yet State unfaithful delegate laws claim a power to divest The Representatives of the People – and to criminally prosecute them for exercising – what the Fundamental Act of our Founding declares is a “self-evident” right”!

        3. And what if the delegates make their proceedings secret?

The State Legislators who vote for unfaithful delegate laws assume they will be able to know what is going on every minute of every day of the convention.

But Madison’s Journal of the Federal Convention of 1787 (where our present Constitution was drafted) shows that on May 29, 1787, the delegates voted to make their proceedings secret.

If delegates to a convention today vote to make the proceedings secret, the States won’t know what is going on – and can’t stop it. And if delegates vote by secret ballot, the States would NEVER know who did what.

You might think that with cell phones & cameras, it’s impossible to have a secret meeting. But the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), which “induces” State Legislators to push the COS application for an Article V convention, is experienced in conducting secret meetings with State Legislators. WATCH this 6.5 minute video of a Georgia TV crew which attempted to get into a meeting held at a Georgia hotel of ALEC and Georgia Legislators.

ALEC, which supports the COS application for an Article V convention, is funded by the Koch Brothers and other mega-corporations. The Koch Brothers spend vast sums on State politicians (e.g., Texas), to get their support for the COS application. Do the Kochs want an Article V convention so they can get a new Constitution which transforms us from a sovereign nation to a member state of the North American Union? And if there is a convention, will armed guards keep the press out? If delegates have been bought by the Kochs, will they tweet & text to the world what they are up to behind closed doors?
        Etc”

The establishment families have the wealth to control our country. This control is executed through establishment minions like General McChrystal and leaders in all professions like politics, education, medicine, religion, etc. Most establishment minions are members of the Council on Foreign Relations and/or the Trilateral Commission and/or the Bilderbergers. These three influential groups were founded by or with significant assistance from a leading establishment family member, David Rockefeller. They are conduits used to communicate and execute the party line.

The militia of the several states was supposed to be the countervailing force against domestic enemies including rogue governments. Now, there is no militia, our local law enforcement units are stronger than many militaries in the world and severe gun control is always a few votes away from becoming the law of the land. It doesn’t look good.
