‘Progressive’ Homosexual Activists Say ‘Good’ or ‘Bad’ Doesn’t Matter, It’s the Guns

Why not redouble efforts to focus on more devasatating and self-inflicted threats?

“Don’t Take Your Eyes Off the Issue of Our Time – Gun Control,” The Advocate, self-identifying as a “the world’s leading gay news source” urges. Springboarding off the massacre at the “gun-free” Pulse nightclub by a bigoted Islamist (who some reports have identified as a club patron who had hookup sex with men, and whose former wife claimed the FBI tried to bury that information), authors Igor Volsky and Mark Glaze unintentionally do gun owner rights supporters a service. That’s because by taking off the mask, they show the “common sense gun safety laws” they demand resemble nothing so much as the state monopoly of violence needed to rule with an iron fist.

Understanding who the authors are helps in understanding how their article advances their agenda. Both are homosexual activists and “progressive” gun-grabbers. Volsky is “Deputy Director for the Center for American Progress Action Fund and former LGBT Editor for ThinkProgress.” Glaze is former executive director of Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown, a senior adviser to GunsDown, and interestingly, the son of a licensed gun dealer.

“LGBTQ people must fight for their safety against the epidemic of gun violence, just as hard as they have fought for equality,” they insist, citing a Southern Poverty Law Center anecdotal “report” on alleged harassment that says nothing about guns, but instead quotes from a handful of unsubstantiated and subjective accounts to smear Donald Trump supporters as intimidating haters.

That’s pretty much SOP for SPLC.

“Already at least seven transgender people have been killed this year — six of whom were killed with a firearm, according to media reports,” Volsky and Glaze continue. “This puts 2017 on a pace to exceed 2016, when at least 27 transgender people were killed. And just like in previous years, the violence has fallen disproportionately on trans women of color.”

Unexamined beyond the listing of names are issues of high-risk associations or that anti-“LGBTQ” hatred has not been proven as a motivating factor.

And instances of killers being “prohibited persons” also means total ban “gun control” edicts were already being violated. That doesn’t matter to Volsky and Glaze.

“Legally obtained or not, whether by ‘good guys’ or ‘bad guys,’ guns are the problem,” they insist. “If we’re serious about saving lives, we need to build a bolder, broader movement that finally tackles the problem at its core. We need to go after guns themselves.”

Actually, if they were serious about saving lives, they’d be out there warning that the greatest threat to health and life among the various sexual practitioners they claim to care about is behavioral and self-inflicted.

“Donald Trump won’t stand in the way. Congress won’t stand in the way,” Volksy and Glaze  promise, casting blame everywhere but on choices and actions. “We can. And together, we must.”

What they plan on doing to the rest of us “standing in the way” is left unsaid, but chances are they’re expecting armed men who took an oath to support the Constitution to carry out their disarmament fantasies for them.

““Don’t Take Your Eyes Off the Issue of Our Time – Gun Control,” The Advocate, self-identifying as a “the world’s leading gay news source” urges. ”

Everyone, know how sometimes an American is born into the wrong country, and when they LAWFULLY come here and become an American citizen some of them say it feels like they came finally are “home”?

I believe that the “gun grabbers” were born into the wrong country and that they need to find a nation that not only practices gun control, but accepts and tolerates LGBTQ people – which will cut down their search for their new “home” tremendously.

Maybe they need to start looking for a country (and research it first as many are really, really bad) soon, because Americans are NEVER giving up their weapons because as Judge Alex Kozinski (9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals) reminded us in Silveira v. Lockyer, 328 F.3d 567 (2003) that the Second Amendment is not about duck hunting: “All too many of the other great tragedies of history – Stalin’s atrocities, the killing fields of Cambodia, the Holocaust, to name but a few – were perpetrated by armed troops against unarmed populations. Many could well have been avoided or mitigated, had the perpetrators known their intended victims were equipped with a rifle and twenty bullets apiece, as the Militia Act required here. … If a few hundred Jewish fighters in the Warsaw Ghetto could hold off the Wehrmacht for almost a month with only a handful of weapons, six million Jews armed with rifles could not so easily have been herded into cattle cars.
“My excellent colleagues have forgotten these bitter lessons of history. The prospect of tyranny may not grab the headlines the way vivid stories of gun crime routinely do. But few saw the Third Reich coming until it was too late. The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed – where the government refuses to stand for re-election and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.
“Fortunately, the Framers were wise enough to entrench the right of the people to keep and bear arms within our constitutional structure. The purpose and importance of that right was still fresh in their minds, and they spelled it out clearly so it would not be forgotten.” Judge Alex Kozinski

It is really important to know that here, most of us will not wait to require you to prove that your a real American if you are in danger, but instead will act if we see the danger to you – and not because your lifestyle is important, but because OUR nation and it’s legitimate government is important and it requires that we defend, not that we murder – be it in wars, or here at home. Most real Americans know real history, or a least a good part of it and are willing to learn the rest as we uncover the truth. Americans recognize fascism, and the other “isms”, technocracy, etc for what they are instead of letting someone USE them as non thinking tools here to destroy our nation from within.

Go on, do the research! Learn real life, and learn to think for yourself – and I am including those that work at the The Advocate, which self-identifies as a “the world’s leading gay news source”.

I thought there was a surge in gun ownership among gays after the Orlando shooting? Wouldn’t that speak counter to the agenda being sold? …and There are those words again, “common sense gun laws”. Calling something “common sense” doesn’t make it so. I can call a cat an elephant.

A few years ago I read about a group of gay gun owners who called themselves the “Pink Pistols,” who were arming themselves and training for self defense against predators who saw gays as easy victims. Who do these people at the Advocate and other anti-gun gays think will protect them if they get their way? The fundamental right of self-defense belongs to ALL people, gay or straight. As long as they don’t shoot my pastor for refusing to marry them, I’m all for “live and let live” gays arming themselves.

I have never asked if someone was a homo before preparing to protect them from harm. Maybe these “advocates” would rather ask the MuSlime Brotherhood for protection, just before they get thrown from the top of Obamas roof?

I know progressive gays who are pro-gun. This the Left’s attempt at galvanizing two unrelated issues, i.e. Gay right and the Second Amendment. It won’t wash with the larger LGBTQ community unless they are anti-American.

The Southern Poverty Law Center is nothing but a propaganda center they come up with their anti gun propaganda and no one ever disputes their words or figures ,they are a communist based and funded organization that goes back years in the McCarthy era ,they keep files on people that are private citizens if they speak out against them and report to their friends in congress and senate if there is a bit of fight back against their agenda which is anything gay ,gun and anything that steps up to bring them to be questioned. They Like George Soros the Tide foundation the Highlander center and every kind of anti American group they can back, like the new Obama OFA he calls Organizing for America It is nothing but a shadow government hell bent on destroying President Trump and the American way of life, he wants a Sharia government that controls our everyday life. This is something that I will fight every way that I can. I fought too hard and lost too many friends to sit back and let it happen. Screw Omuslime and his damned brothers and death to those that stand with him

“Actually, if they were serious about saving lives, they’d be out there warning that the greatest threat to health and life among the various sexual practitioners they claim to care about is behavioral and self-inflicted.” Too true.

Just look at the Versace murder(s). An irresponsible, promiscuous lifestyle led to Versace (famous fashion designer) and others being SHOT to death by a young gay partner/escort/lover/whatever they had shared.

    1. They “glory in their shame”.
    2. There is no real concern for safety as seen in their lies and misdirection. It is about control of those who resist the LGBT agenda.
    3. They fit in nicely with the ONE WORLD ORDER who promote liberal ideas of society and then push for world domination.

Act like perverts, might get treated like perverts. If it wasn’t guns, it would be with some other weapon.

I challenge all these gun ban activists to prove to me where a weapon of any sort just jumped off the table, wall, case, etc and killed a human without being in someones hand.Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.

Just another obozo group of perverted activists. After all, he promoted their agenda with the ‘rainbow house’ on the day they passed the LGBTQQQ ‘rights bill’.

The anti gun cause of groups with the socialist and communist are right on track and will accelerate at every opportunity.
The law enforcement organizations as well as that of the military of the country continues to be shaped by demands backed by liberal groups with their anti-gun agenda. Officials kneeling before the media instead of challenging the media. Elected officials, military and law enforcement officials bending at the liberal altar in order to keep their positions and retirement. Dictates that state what is best of what is best for the correct representation of types not qualified for the position. Positions they must be placed in ahead of the more qualified.
Observe the actions of some of the oath taking generation me. Do you really believe there will be no officers, no military, no law enforcement in the future that will not carry out the order that certain weapons are banned from citizen possession ? Any citizen in possession is a felon and domestic terrorist with intent. The FBI manual on Islamic terrorist had those pages removed. The pages on domestic terrorists emphasised. The citizens of Australia hoped someone would stop the confiscation. Hope is not a plan.
