Pelosi ‘Slippery Slope’ Enthusiasm after Las Vegas Killings Exposes Old Gun-Grabber Lie

With so many lies it’s easy to get lost in them. (Nancy Pelosi live stream screen shot)

“House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday that she ‘certainly hopes’ a ban on ‘bump stocks’ will open the door to additional gun control actions,” Fox News Insider reports.

“They’re going to say, ‘You give them bump stock, it’s going to be a slippery slope.’ I certainly hope so,” Pelosi confirmed.

It’s part of a move to do more than demonize and ban “bump stocks” by Democrats, who will be happy take that if it’s given to them and then press on for more in their feeding frenzy to capitalize on the Las Vegas murders.  That has to be understood by the Republican “leadership, which nonetheless is signaling its willingness to join in throwing the novelty items under the bus now that the National Rifle Association has given them the green light. I talk about why I think that’s a terrible idea in my latest AmmoLand piece.

The curious thing about Pelosi invoking “slippery slope” language is it was not that long ago the gun-grabbers would ridicule gun owner rights advocates as paranoid if they suggested there was one.

Even though that’s been the plan from the start of the modern gun owner control movement:

“We’re going to have to take one step at a time, and the first step is necessarily — given the political realities — going to be very modest. . . . [W]e’ll have to start working again to strengthen that law, and then again to strengthen the next law, and maybe again and again. Right now, though, we’d be satisfied not with half a loaf but with a slice. Our ultimate goal — total control of handguns in the United States — is going to take time. . . . The first problem is to slow down the number of handguns being produced and sold in this country. The second problem is to get handguns registered. The final problem is to make possession of all handguns and all handgun ammunition-except for the military, police, licensed security guards, licensed sporting clubs, and licensed gun collectors-totally illegal.  — Richard Harris, A Reporter at Large: Handguns, New Yorker, July 26, 1976, at 53, 58 (quoting Pete Shields, founder of Handgun Control, Inc.)…”

I first addressed the “slippery slope/paranoid” accusations back in 2005:

  • “THE FEDERAL ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN IS JUST THE FIRST STEP ON A SLIPPERY SLOPE TO BAN ALL GUNS IN AMERICA ” — Response: Wrong. There is no hidden agenda behind saving the Federal Assault Weapons Act.”–The Brady Campaign
  • “Fearful of becoming enmeshed in the gun lobby’s ‘slippery slope’ argument (that any gun control, no matter how limited, is the first step toward total gun confiscation), many actively voiced their opposition to a handgun ban, warning that ban proponents would marginalize the entire movement. They could offer no proof of this claim—yet the argument took hold.”–Ban Handguns Now
  • “In this debate, it is the National Rifle Assn. that is the true purveyor of fiction. In its paranoid world, any measure to make you safer is the first step on the slippery slope to taking away its members’ rights.”–Richard North Patterson at Common Dreams

Admittedly, because so much time has elapsed, the embedded links at WarOnGuns no longer work. So don’t take my word for it that these people were and are demonstrable liars. Take oath-breaker Nancy’s:

Which fool is foolish enough to try and remove my firearms from my property. They’ll never ban firearms, but if they want a civil war this would be there best tactic..

well we need to de regulate what has been illegally, unlawfully and unconstitutionally banned, regulated and infringed… nothing like a select fire rifle… for self defense at home or wherever, hunting, target shooting and foreign and domestic enemies and also should we have to deal with a Tyrannical government. ALL FEDERAL GUN CONTROL IS UNLAWFUL: https://youtu.be/Sn6UJbDm2-c

It’s hard to believe that very many Americans are not aware of what has happened to countries whose populations were forcibly disarmed.

We know the Democrat/liberal/communist bigwigs know about it and have no problem with it because that’s precisely what they intend to do to Americans. But what about the rest of the Democrats? Do they actually think they WANT to live in a communist country?

Maybe fluoride in toothpaste and drinking water HAS been as effective as some people claim it has.

The government has been re-writing history for many decades now. Several generations have now grown up believing that the “Holocaust” is fiction. They have no idea who Hitler, Mao or Stalin were. Most of the kids in college now cannot place Miami, New York City, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco or LA on a map of the US let alone identify major countries of the world.

Pelosi and all her ilk believe that the 2nd Amendment is outdated. When will the anti-gun minions realize that they are the exact reason the 2nd Amendment was included and that it may very well have to be used soon? Lock and Load!

On another note, I totally believe in gun control. I expect everyone handling a gun to control where it is pointed and only hit the intended target. Anything less means the militia is not “well regulated”.

I agree and I feel the same way, If I have guns or not is not the question, We must retain the right to own and carry our protection.

This whole “false flag” event is for one thing and one thing ONLY. COMPLETE DISARMAMENT of law abiding gun owners. COMMUNISTS (“progressives”) cannot “take over” with an armed populace. This overweight gambler in my opinion, was DEAD before the shooting started (collateral damage control).
Being around Fort Drum N.Y. all my life , heard and WATCHED sustained full automatic arms fire from various weapons, THESE WERE NOT “bump stock” weapons being fired, AND the person or persons firing were HIRED TRAINED “professionals”, probably by “deep state operatives” that were GONE long before police got up there. The “cover-ups” have already begun and the “liberals” were screaming “gun control” before the smoke had cleared that leaves anyone with half a brain to believe that “they” ALREADY KNEW what was “planned”

Cliff…..This was obvious from the beginning and you nailed it…..the entire “event” was staged and you can rest assured that Barack Soetoro Sobarkah and his shadow government were pulling the strings…..considering that they still own the media, getting the true story out will most likely be impossible……it is only a matter of time before full scale civil unrest occurs…..it is on the imminent horizon….

Agreed that this is the most likely scenario. Nevertheless, why aren’t we pursuing the real deep state perpetraitors (clearly these agents and agencies have blood on their hands) through whatever means necessary? Playing games with neocons and progressive communists is getting us no where except quickly devoid of our natural rights as Americans.

Pertaining to gun confiscation: This will be attempted door-to-door, house-to-house, community-by-community, AFTER a series of massive false-flag events have occured, the sum of which will completely devastate the United States into a country of casualties with survivors pleading for assistance by whichever agency can provide it quickly enough. The catch will be that ALL firearms must be turned in in exchange for whatever food or services is provided. In addition, all will be forcibly micro chipped for further tracking and control. Don’t kid ourselves folks. We are one series of tactical nuclear blasts away from such a scenario. Look at what geo-engineering hurricanes has done in Texas, Florida, P.Rico. I suspect we are at the beginning stages of the full implementation of such a scenario right now.

Do not step off that “slippery slope” – Old Nancy will take anything she can get to further her goal. Don’t fall for it!!! Give her an inch and she’ll take a mile – maybe not all at once but bit by bit!!!!! Don’t give her the satisfaction that we are going to give in!!!!!!!

Let’s put away the rhetoric boys. Let me tell you what’s going to happen based on what has taken place up until now.
They will kick in your door, rape your wife, and put your children into re-education centers or worse, and no one will do anything. I’d be willing to bet on it. It’s happening now. Remember the baby that had a flashbang thrown in its crib.
Here is why I would not expect any push back of consequence. The Constitution of the United States has already been torn to bits and our only action has been complaining, whining, and an occasional successful lawsuit that benefits just a few. Look what CT, MA, NY, CA and others have done to Heller.
The Constitution is clear on law enforcement, as are the state constitutions, along with what are now dormant statutes. Why? Because there is no actual will to change anything. Moaning and complaining is what we do best. It suits most so-called patriotic organizations who rake in the funds for memberships and dues.
With the law at our backs we do nothing. That is to say Constitutional law. We abide, for the most part, unconstitutional acts and we expect them to be changed by the ballot box, or the courts.
Before someone says, yeah well what are you doing. I contact every member of my states legislature on a regular basis, along with my congressional representatives, and I’ve challenged them all to debate in an open forum. I’ve contacted the governor, pointed to the state militia statutes and told him that I want a position in accordance with this statute. I’m currently in a battle with an infamous agency that the Supreme Court noted they couldn’t find an originating act. I’ve written several articles, and spoken publicly, although I hate doing that.
What was it that Churchill said about fighting when there is little chance of victory?
