An Ohio State University student and advocate for campus concealed carry was found shot to death on Thursday morning. Tarak Andrew Underiner was found dead from gunshot wounds at a residence near campus on Northwood Avenue.  Police were called shortly after midnight and pronounced Underiner dead on the scene.

“Investigators do not believe this incident was random in nature nor has any connection to the University,” the report states.

Underiner recently testified at the Ohio Statehouse in support of campus concealed carry. The hearing took place only two days after the terrorist stabbing attack at Ohio State University.

“College campuses and the areas surrounding them present environments rich with potential victims,” Underiner, a member of university’s chapter of Students for Concealed Carry, told a Senate committee. “They’re willing to gamble we’re unarmed and it pays off.”
