Error in #18 Code of conduct: The word dishonor should be changed to honor. It creates a double negative, the the reverse of the intent.

      Brian,
Thank you for reading here at our new site, and I would like to especially thank you for taking time to raise a question about the wording. However, I’ve gone over that paragraph again, and I would like to ask you to read over it again please. It appears to be correct as it is written.
Thank you again for reading at Oath Keepers!
      Salute!

        Hello,
I see what Brian means. The phrasing in ” Oath Keeper’s mission, dishonor, or in any manner bring ill repute” seems to indicate that “dishonor” belongs to Oath Keepers. It is correct as written but may be more clear if that sentence were modified to read, “…or will dishonor, or in any manner bring ill repute to Oath Keepers”.
At any rate, what is required to start a chapter of Oath Keepers? The nearest listed chapter is in Dayton, Oh over 85 miles and I saw no meetings listed for that chapter.
        Thanks
        Bob

          kilroy_50,
I do believe that you’ve shown me an improvement over the current wording. Thank you for that.
I cannot alter the wording, however, without a vote by the Board of Directors, so I will submit this revision as a recommendation to the Board that they accept and approve of this newer version, which i feel you will also find acceptable. Here is how it would read, and I agree with you that it *should* read something like this:

“18. Oath Keepers reserves the right in it’s sole discretion, to withhold, deny, or revoke the membership or associate membership of any person whom Oath Keepers determines will dilute, impair or disrupt Oath Keeper’s mission, will dishonor Oath Keepers’ name, or will in any manner bring ill repute to Oath Keepers.”

Thank you for clarifying this to me. I trust you will approve of my alteration?

          Salute!

Hello, we don’t have a chapter in the area right now. If you’ll send your city and state in the subject line of an email to this address ca@oathkeepers.org I can let you know when we do have something going. Any other questions, let me know. Nancy

Donald, glad to hear you’re cancer-free! May you remain in good health, and may you help Oath Keepers guard the Republic in your County. Congratulations for your victory over cancer. Maybe you can help us get rid of the cancer which is infecting the body politic of our great nation, yes? 😉

I’m a veteran living in Missouri, and after learning of your organization, I am interested in learning more. Is there a registered chapter in Missouri? If there is how do I apply to become a member? If not , how and what can I do to create a chapter ?

I served as a Rifleman in the Marine Reserves. After getting out I met a wonderful woman who joined the Navy several years after we got married. We have maintained or Utah residency the entire time. She’s active duty and permanent shore duty, thus we PCS every 2-3 years. While in Chicago I had my wake up call. I’m now in Philly. I’d like to speak to somebody about becoming an Oath Keeper. How would I join? What chapter would I join? How would I remain a member, or transfer membership, every time we PCS? What about if we get stationed overseas?

Any help would be appreciated. Also, I’m using a cell phone to view the Oath Keepers website, so the options I’m seeing are very limited.

      Scott,
      Thank you for your request.
The listing of State chapters is in the right-hand menu on this page. Click on “Find A Chapter Near You” and when the pop-up window comes up just select “Missouri”. Here is the page for Missouri:
