Nugent Undermines His Immigration Protests by Endorsing Norquist

Ted Nugent warns of the “America-destroying” dangers of uncontrolled borders, illegal immigrants and Islamic “refugees.” He then turns around and endorses one of the biggest proponents of bringing in more foreigners. What gives?

“You talk about halting the dangerous, America-destroying invasion of illegals across our borders, but you do nothing,” rocker and NRA Board member Ted Nugent charged in a public spanking of Republican elites. “[Y]our GOP has become indistinguishable from the crazed Democrats…”

He’s absolutely right about the illegal invasion being “America-destroying,” and for one reason above all others:

Obama’s Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson insists that illegal aliens have “earned the right to be citizens.” Democrat Rep. Kurt Schrader claims immigration will decide “who is in charge of this country for the next 20 or 30 years.”

“The Obama administration is launching a campaign to accelerate the conversion of millions of immigrants to citizenship,” Breitbart reports.” That’s a key part of his mission to “fundamentally transform America.”

“We can’t wait any longer for a path to full, equal citizenship,” Hillary Clinton echoes. At least she can’t wait.

That’s because all credible measurements show that will result in millions of new anti-gun Democrat voters, establishing unchallengeable majorities in the legislatures, a resultant stacking of the courts through confirmations of anti-gun activist judges, and a reversal of all legislative and judicial gains enjoyed in recent years.

“President Obama is dithering while the free world dies at the hands of these rabid monsters,” Nugent notes in another column, correctly identifying the Islamist terror threat being imported and inflicted on Americans by their own government.  “If elected, there is every indication Mrs. Clinton will carry on with the guaranteed horror of self-inflicted multiculturalism that has turned so much of the world into a jihadist playground.”

We’re not just talking about increased terror attacks on U.S. soil. We’re talking about an agenda abetted by global elites that threatens to destroy the Republic.

“It is culturally suicidal not to have stringently enforced borders, especially during a war on terror when our own commander in chief’s allegiance is dangerously questionable at best,” Nugent observes in yet another editorial. “It is simply suicidal to let in hordes of so-called ‘refugees’ from lands infested with America-hating terrorists when you know damn well a certain percentage of them are dedicated to killing you.”

He clearly understands the dangers.

So why is he opposing the recall of Grover Norquist from the NRA Board? Especially after Norquist aligned himself with Michael Bloomberg’s “Partnership for a New American Economy” amnesty lobby? Noting the documented political sympathies, does Nugent think Bloomberg’s pushing that because his media empire needs cheap foreign labor? And how do charges of Norquist’s ties to Muslim Brotherhood operatives square with Nugent’s condemnations on one hand and enthusiastic testimonials on the other?

For that matter, noting the dangerous path of culturally terraforming America that Norquist and his enablers like Nugent are leading us down, how does any of it square with their obligations as NRA directors to adhere to Association Bylaws? Specifically, it violates the “Purposes and Objectives” policy mandate:

To protect and defend the Constitution of the United States [and] [t]o promote public safety, law and order, and the national defense…

Promoting Norquist as a champion of the right to keep and bear arms, when what he does while wearing his “immigration” hat threatens to enable its “legal” evisceration, allows NRA Beltway insider lobbyists to ignore Bylaws requirements by falling back on a phony “single issue” excuse. That in turn lets them give “A” grades to politicians who value cheap labor interests more than “secur[ing] the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.” And that keeps the cycle of sell-outs going.

Ted Nugent’s dire warning about illegal immigration and the dangers of Islamic “refugees” ring worse than hollow in light of his support for Grover Norquist. Looking at what he says out of the other side of his mouth, they ring a lot worse.
