New Feinstein ‘Assault Weapon’ Ban All ‘Sound and Fury’ — for Now

She knows the bill won’t pass at this time. So the fact that she’s introducing it as an admitted ploy shows this is all just being played for political points. Which means any claim of this being about “gun violence” or “safety” or “common sense” is just a transparent lie by a serial oath-breaker cynically exploiting deaths to her political advantage. .

“Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and a number of her colleagues today introduced the Assault Weapons Ban of 2017, a bill to ban the sale, transfer, manufacture and importation of military-style assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines,” a Nov. 8 press release on her website announced. Cosponsors of the bill are all Democrats.

As an aside, note the term “assault weapon” always appears in quotes herein. You know the reason why.

Among other “provisions” (read “infringements”) of the bill, per a WZTV Fox 17 Nashville summary analysis, it also:

“Bans the sale, manufacture, transfer and importation of 205 military-style assault weapons by name. Owners may keep existing weapons.

“Bans any assault weapon that accepts a detachable ammunition magazine and has one or more military characteristics including a pistol grip, a forward grip, a barrel shroud, a threaded barrel or a folding or telescoping stock. Owners may keep existing weapons.

“Bans magazines and other ammunition feeding devices that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition, which allow shooters to quickly fire many rounds without needing to reload. Owners may keep existing magazines.”

It also provides for “prison time for anyone who loans an AR-15 rifle to a friend.” This being the land of the free and all…

“We’re introducing an updated Assault Weapons Ban for one reason: so that after every mass shooting with a military-style assault weapon, the American people will know that a tool to reduce these massacres is sitting in the Senate, ready for debate and a vote,” Feinstein declared. “This bill won’t stop every mass shooting, but it will begin removing these weapons of war from our streets.”

That it was “weapons of war” the Founders intended should remain in the hands of the people does not factor into the deceptive manipulations when considering the totalitarian end game goal these oath-breakers are inching toward. But Feinstein does make an interesting admission: the bill is intended for show, for publicity and for political gamesmanship. The signatories are under no illusions it will actually go anywhere. And no, of course it won’t stop any “mass shootings.” That’s never been the intent of gun owner control.

The title of S. 2095, “A bill to regulate assault weapons, to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is not unlimited, and for other purposes” might as well have left out the middle clause in its entirety. The mask is off on those “other purposes,” and it’s clear that Democrats are intent on pushing things incrementally down a “slippery slope” they’ve previously ridiculed as paranoid conspiracy theory.

For now, Feinstein’s bill is reminds me of nothing so much as Macbeth’s cynical assessment of life, which if you think about it, is what it represents:

“It is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing.”

For now it is. But give it time.

Give corrupt establishment Republicans time to squander a lifetime opportunity and blow the advantage they enjoy in the House, Senate, Supreme Court and White House as they ally with Democrats to sabotage a populist rebellion demanding real change instead of weasel-worded platitudes. And give unchecked immigration and a “pathway to citizenship” (supported by the same Democrats and RINOs) time to create an electorate that will, by all objective measures and experience, result in gun-grabbers passing whatever legislation they want and judges they appoint upholding those laws.

The object is, as Mr. Churchill noted, to “fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed [and] when your victory is sure and not too costly.” That means either get involved with peaceable and productive outreach, educational and political/judicial efforts now, or resign yourself and your posterity to the terrible day when keeping the oath will be put to the test, and we’ll find out how many anonymous “Molon Labe!” comment posters are serious, capable and prepared.

I simply don’t understand how people think gun control will control anything illegal things like drugs aliens prostitution murder etc even simple things like speeding laws make no difference stop nothing ., their are how many illegals? How many criminals? the fact is there are simply more good people than bad in this world as a fact or we’ll all be dead. If the shtf all these libatards will be begging for protection from gun owners and if they understood anything guns are the only reason we are not all in death concentration camps rite now.

There is only one reason for this and any other “gun control” legislation. They want to take away America’s ability to protect ourselves against enemies foreign and domestic by removing the same firepower they have out of our hands. This has everything to do with safety–law abiding citizens safety against a tyrannical global government!!!

The gun control situation is in all reality, the continued efforts to totally disarm the American citizens. The threat would not be from a foreign adversary, it would be from within. The domestic threat would actually be a reality by now if that Clinton scorpion had won the election. Bozos “shadow government) the OFA is massive and well supported financially by the Clinton Foundation, George Soros, the Communist UN, the EU and the American Revolutionary Communist Party (ANTIFA). The bottom line is that the Communist Globalists can not assume control until the American citizen is disarmed and defenseless. They are “all in” and consequently, we must be “all in” as well. Stand ready, it is coming, and much sooner than we think.

Doth the dimwit not realize that she, or anyone, hath no authority to touch the 2A? Doth the dimwit not know God gave us this right to protect ourselves, family, and our countrymen from HER and her ilk? The time is near to go after the heads of the beast. Start taking notes of who the upper echelons are that are trying to take down America (and most other countries). It’s a much smaller, more decisive war than if we have to fight their paid, indoctrinated minions while they enjoy wine and cavia from afar.

Changing the phrase “shall not be infringed” over to ‘be regulated, controlled or expunged as Washington sees fit’ requires a Constitutional Amendment and NOT legislation. Were there honest people working in DC they would know that but we – all of us – let them pull this without marching on them with pitchforks and torches. Maybe folks will stand up when they ban firearms all together. If so, I’m all for having these twits outlaw them tomorrow.

The laughable part of the left’s aggravation with the NRA doesn’t lay with the Republican’s walking in lock step with their constituencies desires, it has to do with those vulnerable Democrats that acquiesce to the NRA’s desires because they fear losing their seats !!! This really needs to be screamed from the rooftops !!

Nah, keep her. We are more likely to win with her in the spotlight as the opposition. Keep her as long as she can keep convincing anyone that she’s not dead yet.

the facts are the enumerated powers gave ZERO authority, and responsibility to the federal govt. Seems to me most of our elected officials dont know a thing … a truthful, factual thing about our rights.

“She knows the bill won’t pass at this time.” Wow! Is that what we bet the freedom of our nation, our children, and their children on? It won’t pass this time? Is that the best we can do?
Back in April of 2009 I drove from my home in NJ to Lexington to join with others who I believed stood for a renewal of the spirit that brought about this Republic. I had to do it from memory because my GPS died half way there and I had forgotten to bring the charger. Having been stationed in Rhode Island some 40 prior to that, I did it by memory. I met Stewart, and we had a good conversation of things to come. I thought that was a sign of good things to come.
When do we start saying loud and clear that we own those weapons because it is not simply a right, but a duty imposed on able-bodied men? It is a duty that is even more significant today with so many in government, and the media working to turn this nation into a land of impotent, poor, and illiterate masses working just to get by.
With some 30 to 40 THOUSAND members, I would suggest that we first take to our pen and paper, and each and everyone of us send an individual letter to the president demanding the revitalization of Militia in order “to execute the Laws of the Union” that this government breaks on a daily basis. “[S]uppress Insurrections” by those who look to disarm and destroy this nation, and “repel Invasions” of illegal immigrants, and migrants that are flooding our country and emptying our coffers.

Ms. :”Sound and Fury” feels the need to flaunt her presence in the spotlight, just to make her few supporters aware that she’s still there, fighting the good fight against evil guns, and hoping to be re-elected. She has no other criteria, but as long as she is sufficiently “controversial”, she will be rewarded by the media who put her name in front of the public.

She is a media whore; everyone knows that.
But she is a “Successful” Media Whore!

This vile member of the senate, and all other liberal, progressive, socialist/communist, democrats and republicans alike, are the EXACT REASON the founders added the 2nd Amendment to our Constitution. Whether now, or in the future, these un-American oath breakers will push their evil ways until we have no recourse but to use our weapons as the founders intended. Study history if you doubt me.

Feinstein packs and owns guns. What a hypocrite, like 99% of all politicos. This is a politucal tool to use against those who vote against it during the upcoming elections.

Then there is the rest of story, disarm the citizen. Seems ok for government agencies to acquire full auto weapons to use on who? Oh…that would be us, the citizen. If the government can own it, si can I, end of story.
