Gun-Grabbing ‘Sanctuary Lawmaker’ Admits ‘Half of My Family’ Breaking Law

Oath-breaking California politician Kevin De Léon proving he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, and using that to scare the ignorant and the fearful into more infringements on their rights.

“California State Senate President Pro Tem Kevin De Léon (D-Los Angeles) that ‘half his family’ was in the country illegally, using false documents, and eligible for deportation under President Trump’s new executive order against ‘sanctuary’ jurisdictions,” former California State Assemblyman Tim Donnelly reported on Breitbart. “De Léon, who introduced the bill, made his remarks at a hearing in Sacramento on SB54, the bill to make California a ‘Sanctuary State.’”

In addition to defending the practice of obtaining fraudulent documents and dismissing citizen concerns over identity theft, De Léon “expressed outrage” that it should be a deportable offense for foreign nationals — already here illegally – to then falsely obtain a Social Security card. That’s even though any person who “willfully, knowingly, and with intent to deceive, uses a social security account number, assigned by the Commissioner of Social Security … to establish and maintain records) on the basis of false information furnished to the Commissioner of Social Security by him or by any other person … shall be guilty of a felony and upon conviction thereof shall be fined under title 18, United States Code, or imprisoned for not more than five years, or both.”

As is typical, the law is what De Léon and his fellow California “progressives” say it is. Laws they oppose are to be disregarded. In other words, he stands for lawlessness and tyranny.

The thing is, they don’t extend that same entitlement to the non-elite citizenry. They’re too busy stripping them of their rights.  Case in point, De Léon’s oath of office was a mere ceremonial formality. Because where the Second Amendment is concerned, he never saw an infringement he didn’t like, author, co-sponsor or vote for. He’s so against guns, he’s even against guns that don’t exist (except in his ignorant and/or opportunistic mind):

De Léon said he is trying to address a twin threat from what he called “ghost guns” — plastic guns that can slip through metal detectors and unregistered weapons that can fall into the hands of people who are legally prohibited from owning firearms under state law.

He brags about his citizen disarmament “victories”:

This year, he led the charge for the most stringent gun control policies in a generation, leading efforts to approve 11 measures, including his groundbreaking bill, SB 1235, which requires background checks for anyone who buys or sells ammunition.

So it’s no surprise that when purporting to hold a community meeting on ““California’s Gun and Ammo Pipeline to the Mexican Drug Cartels,” De Léon used it as a platform to stump for more citizen disarmament, repeating the tired old lie about the preponderance of “Mexican crime guns” originating in U.S. gun shops. He dismissed Congressional investigations into ATF’s murder-abetting Operation Fast and Furious “gunwalking,” instead expressing “[deep concern] that some in Congress are more focused on distracting the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms from their core mission and getting to the bottom of failed policies of the past.”

De Léon is living proof that unchecked immigration and a “pathway to citizenship” represents an existential threat to the nation and its Constitution.

“His mom, the single mother of three children, originally entered the country illegally and worked cleaning upscale homes for a living,” AllGov reveals.  And his politics of culturally terraforming this country into one more like the one his mother fled is hardly unique.

All credible polls – and significantly, the California experience – show the MILLIONS of foreign nationals in this country illegally (and even legally, with current culturally suicidal policies) overwhelmingly favor Democrats and anti-gunners.  That means ultimately, the legislatures will look just like California, and will be able to pass whatever citizen disarmament edicts they like, and when that happens, judges will be nominated and confirmed to uphold those edicts, and reverse gains made to date.

True, not all fit the mold.  Everyone can produce anecdotes that don’t conform to the trend. But we’re talking overall and overwhelming numbers being the threat here, and those numbers continue to hold even after so-called “assimilation”:

Such confident Democrat affinity for immigration, both legal and illegal, becomes obvious when you look at the numbers, as Pew research did in a 2012 “Political Party Affiliation among Hispanics” poll. Whether you look at all, at registered voters, at native born, foreign born, unauthorized, legal permanent residents or foreign-born US citizens, that affiliation is overwhelmingly Democrat. Refuting those who would have us believe eventual assimilation will create more political homogeneity, the lop-sidedness continues as time goes on. Only 10 percent identify as Republicans after “20 years or more.”

The United States is under no obligation to admit and include foreign national. Any immigration policy it does adopt is supposed to comport with the reasons for its existence in the first place, as articulated in the Preamble:

“…to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity…”

You can’t do that by admitting foreigners who are hostile to those ends, and by then affording them political power with which to undermine freedom at the expense of ourselves and our Posterity. And you can’t do that by letting ignorance-exploiting lies become the basis for public policy, as exemplified in the following video:

I like the idea of an effort to start making citizen arrests of these criminals who go unscathed in lawless behavior. Especially a public employee. It’s past due for a consequence for their arrogant lawlessness; just like we peons receive minor violations. No more easy chair quarterbacking of the crimes against our nation from within.

Article 1, Section 8, Clause 15 – “to execute the Laws of the Union”. That is based on the state statutes that define the duties, powers, and responsibilities of the militia. Those statutes were there before the ratification of the Constitution. The Founder simply recognized the fact that in order for a nation of popular sovereignty to remain as such, the power of the ‘Sword’ must remain in the hands of the People.
There is ample reading material on this. In particular the works of Dr. Edwin Vieira who has commented here before.
I’m not sure why the idea of citizens arrests is looked upon as something novel.

I have been investigating De Leon since 2002 when I ran for CA Sec of State. He claims he was born in San Diego but there is no birth certificate recorded for him with the State of California. He cannot prove he is a US Citizen. ALL OF HIS FAMILY was born in Mexico. He is nothing more than an illegal alien that has “gamed the system!” Kevin De Leon is in this country ILLEGALLY!

Quite possibly he has aided and abetted some of his relatives in committing a felony, and should be investigated. If he is charged with conspiracy and aiding and abetting, and found guilty, he could be deported, or at least be sent to jail here. Just saying.

May I suggest that since you have some following that you start promoting the facts that the court had no authority to remove the power of the People to enforce the law.
Your state, most notably, needs to revitalize the Militia, and they need to do it immediately.

All illegals should be immediately deported as they are law-breakers and care nothing about the rule of law.

I watched the video, How could that Sheriff in the background not bust out laughing at the stupidity of deLeon? I guess he probably was afraid for his job, or else he’s backing up what deLeon had to say. Either one it looks as though the police dept. or Sheriffs dept is not sure how to deal with him.

Every time a Mexican or US politician complains against truly common sense illegal immigration we should complain right back demanding equal access to Mexico and demanding an answer for why not.

It’s not at all surprising to read what this criminal believes, and since his criminal thoughts are evidently mainstream in CA, the whole of CA is diminished. Sure, make the whole damn state a sanctuary – for criminals of all makes and models. It won’t take long for the productive members of the population to get the picture, and vote with their feet. Without federal money, CA won’t be able to sustain itself and will be completely bankrupt.

With dismay I report that I live under the tyranny of this ‘Sandinista Marxist’. California is devoid of constitutional law and I fear a massive Marxist foothold has occurred here on continental U.S. territory. The OK presence in this state is virtually non-existent and I believe that to be a major error. Having had a conversation with a well known firearms instructor earlier this week about the unhinged behavior of Governor Jerry Brown, DeLeon’s confident, in-your-face proclamation and the Cal-exit threat, he and I were in agreement; California is going to be ground zero.

We need help here, not flippant remarks hoping Caliphornia falls into the Pacific…. our country’s future demands these scum be stopped.

Since you are a citizen of California, why don’t you join up with ednoonan7, who posted above, and see if you two can start the push towards revitalizing the Militia in your state.
It is the logical thing to do. The Founders didn’t recognize the power of the body of the People formed as “organized” Militia because they needed some way to finish up the extra ink they had.

I really have heard this sort of conduct coming from sworn officials and politicians that it makes my blood boil. They need to be censured, and if that doesnt correct thier conduct they should be removed from office and stripped of any benefits they recieve. I am tired of supporting politicians who thier own ideals at the expense of tax payers and continued disregard to thier sworn oath. The liberal media rallies the outcry of thier democratic allies but refuse to call them out on thier misconduct.i want leadership who support the republic, not a liberal left who despise patriots.

Although Kevin DeLeon is indeed a total tyrannical moron, I blame more the idiot LEO oath breakers standing directly behind him even more because they are actively allowing this kind of nonsense to go forward.

Fortunately, I, and many other AR-15 owing Californians are actively disregarding the laws that have been passed regarding such weapons. We will not register; we will not comply.

Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God.

I understand the ‘compliance’ rate in Connecticut and New York were 10 percent. 90 said ‘up yours’ despite the ene-media playing up the long lines of those fools that chose to comply. I find it disturbing that the CA DOJ wants us to register on line… yeah sure, nothing better than to pinpoint ones where-abouts with IPO addresses… nice little bonus there (only from the mind of a Marxist). Unless something changes fast things are going to get a little sporty around here.

Agreed! You are now up against it, much like the patriots in NY, CT, etc. Noncompliance, defiance, and resistance are the watchwords of the day, as always when dealing with such gross violations of the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

This idiot De Leon is a loose cannon. He needs to be reined in by Speaker of House (CA). All he does is make the saying true, i e. California is full of fruits and nuts and those who are not are not, and those who don’t fit into that category, are flakes.

Screw De Leon……he is an anti American illegal POS…..the entire state is a cesspool of everything that our country is not. Every day when I am out doing business, shopping for groceries or at any other business, it is impossible not to be surrounded by illegals or immigrants of some description. Legal immigrants are acceptable, however, 90% of what I am seeing is illegal. They don’t give a crap for our laws, throw their trash on the ground and basically disrespect everything else……Eight years of Soetoro Sobarkah with his Fundamental Transformation of America has taken its toll, and I’m afraid that a great deal of the damage is not repairable. We are in a great deal of trouble any way you look at it !!
