Fasting

Part of being prepared, is to be healthy. Americans are not very healthy. Whether it be obesity, diabetes, heart trouble, or just being generally out of shape, we, as Patriots, need to get in better health, if we are to not just survive what is coming, but to be victorious. Many of our health problems relate to poor diet. It is up to us, as individuals, to face up to the fact that we need to eat healthier, and to get enough exercise. You don’t need to run a marathon, but you should be able to get about, do some physical labor, and be alert.

I am 64 years old, and admittedly out of shape. I have decided to eat better, and to get in better shape. I’m not overweight, at present, though several years ago I packed on twenty-five extra pounds. I am back to fighting weight, though not in fighting shape. I am now gluten intolerant, so I don’t eat grains, and I gave up soda twenty years ago. I’ll have a glass of wine, now and again, or a little hard cider, but am definitely not a heavy drinker. The fast program of 5 days regular eating, followed by 2 days of light fasting, is one I have decided to embark on, as both diabetes and heart disease are in my ancestry. It is time I got serious about my health.

I take no medications, beyond an aspirin now and again, nor will I ever. I can look after my own health.
