Draining the Swamp – Part III – Hollywood

In Part 1 of this series on Draining the Swamp, my main focus was on the NFL, with its protesters disrespecting the National Anthem, and by extension our flag, our military and our Republic.

Part 2 focused on a speech George W. Bush gave, in which he said: “We cannot wish globalism away,” which, since he is a committed Globalist, he would not want to happen. I also talked of the Independence Movement in Catalonia, as an example of the desire for less concentration of power, and more local control. In other words decentralization, which is the opposite of globalism.

Included in Part 2 was a video done by Project Veritas, showing the complete hypocrisy and deception of the New York Times.

The Swamp is big, and contains many swamp creatures. In this article I will concentrate on the swamp that is Hollywood. I asked the question: “So, how do we combat them? (The swamp creatures) By the power of the purse, and the power of the light shining on the darkness they promote.”

The disgusting behavior of Harvey Weinstein is being exposed for all the world to see, and his fall from the heights of power has been swift, as those who formerly praised him, and called him friend, have attacked like a group of jackals, as they rush to save themselves.

But Harvey Weinstein is not the only swamp creature in Hollywood, as more victims continually come forward with accusations against other powerful men.

It is not just the “casting couch” behavior that permeates Hollywood, however. The ugly shadow of pedophilia casts a dark pall on the glitter of Tinsel Town.

From PJ Media:

For years, actor Corey Feldman has argued that Hollywood has a very serious issue: pedophilia. He is a victim of abuse himself. As a child actor, he and his fellow ’80s star Corey Haim suffered tremendously because of pedophiles in powerful positions. According to Feldman, Haim started using drugs to cope with this trauma. As most people know, drug addiction eventually killed him.

There is a dark sickness that envelops Hollywood. It is time to cleanse it of the sexual depredation and pedophilia that is being exposed.

The question becomes, how can it be cleansed? By using the power of the purse. It is time to say NO to Hollywood, and to demand that it cleanse itself. Not a superficial cleansing, but a thorough cleansing. The actors, directors, producers and studio moguls must come totally clean in admitting the depravity that is Hollywood. They must remove not just the depraved persons, but also those who have consented to the depravity by remaining silent. Silence in the face of evil is consent.

In the following video, Stefan Molyneux discusses his decision to boycott Hollywood.

Why I’m Breaking Up With Hollywood

If the Hollywood Swamp is to be drained, the power of the purse must be employed. Starve the beast, until real changes are made. It is not just Harvey Weinstein who needs to be sacrificed.

It is time to stop going to Hollywood movies. It is time to boycott their products.

Yes, and I agree. The very bulk of the “stardom” are pure as the driven snow UNTIL they are caught. They have their flings, strut around with little to nothing on and when it comes “comment time” they are righteous and pure. I don’t watch much anymore except the 1950’s westerns, and then there were issues. Every try reading some good books, say published around 1850-1900??

    The Hollywood alternatives.

What is needed comes in two forms.
First, avoid as many Hollywood products as possible. Don’t spend your money on them and try to avoid buying from their advertisers. Also, look for good alternative products. Mel Gibson did a good job with films like Apocalypto and The Patriot.
Second, spend more time getting involved in local politics. Get your conservative side represented.

Good – I’ve been cleansing Hollywood for years!

We probably don’t see a movie at the theater once every two or three years, and when we do, it isn’t one of Hollywood’s liberal propaganda films.

For GW to say you cant wish globalism away is so self serving its beyond belief. We don’t need to accelerate its arrival either you fat puss. This is why the Bush’s cant be trusted anymore than the Clintons.

Excellent message Shorty. I would only add that allowing His light to manifest in ourselves is our best hope here. To turn ourselves away from the wickedness that is Hollywood and most of all the entertainment industry, and back to reclaim our Judeo-Christian heritage and true purpose on this earth. This is what I hope, pray, fast, and long for.

My better half and i, after viewing these two messages, feel more justification for our boycotting of anything “hollywood” for the last 25 years. You must be careful because so much has infiltrated into so many things seemingly not connected like Christmas toys, cards, books, etc. Be aware and hurt them where it is felt, the wallet. Well done Shorty.

ALL: Sadly, I feel there is much truth in this post & related stories.
An old HS buddy has returned from trying to make it: over there. His stories reflect this posting.
I’ve stopped going to the show for over 20 years now, save for a few times w.my sons….recently seeing fine films like ‘Hacksaw Ridge’. There’s plenty of entertainment alternatives out there, they are worth searching out.
My power of the purse boycott also applies to cable & dish boycotting, for similar reasons. I use antenna TV & still spend too much time in front of the boob tube. Thankfully there’s a Justice Network & another whose name now escapes me.
Regarding the NFL forget them! I’m a Bears fan, but my fave all time player is Rocky Bleier.
You Tube has some great stuff & it’s a better alternative & the price is right!

I thought it was because of my age at 73 that I stopped renting or watching Hollyweird movies. They seemed to be getting stupider and stupider. Apparently its not because I am 73 and have seen it all before, they really are getting stupider and stupider. The last movie I went to and paid the huge admission fee was Dances with Wolves.

@ Eagle nester I am 64 and I can’t remember the movie I last went to see, but it was in 1994 or 95, so it has been a long time for me. And I know it kind of seems un-macho, but I don’t even know the rules to football. I guess I was kind of a hiippie in high school and I lived in Las Vegas, it was a dinky town in the 60’s and early 70’s and I would drive out in the desert and take my back pack and rifle and head out for days. Never could under stand watching a game and not knowing how to play it.I reckon I don’t regret it at all either.
