Academics, Politicians and Journalists Not Greatest Domestic Threat despite LaPierre Assertion

Wayne LaPierre’s assignment of “A” grades to politicians who support a “pathway to citizenship” for overwhelmingly anti-gun “immigrants” means we could ultimately be waving goodbye to legislative and judicial protections for the right to keep and bear arms.

“It’s up to us to speak up against the three most dangerous voices in America: academic elites, political elites, and media elites,” National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre told attendees at the NRA Annual Meeting Friday. “These are America’s greatest domestic threats.”

That they represent real threats cannot be denied. The subversive poisoning of young minds, the corruption and usurpation of power, and the lies of commission – and just as significantly, of omission – are three legs propping up a globalist agenda being advanced by evil opportunists and carried out by useful idiots, parasites and thugs. But the means yet exist for other signals to get through, and with growing public distrust and contempt for “elites” of all stripes, is it really the “greatest domestic threat” so much as the most convenient target?

There’s another threat LaPierre never talks about, for reasons we can only speculate: Immigration, both “legal” and illegal, and what a “pathway to citizenship” combined with so-called “birthright citizenship” will mean to continued government recognition of the right to keep and bear arms.

NRA under his “leadership” refuses to acknowledge that and to make it a factor in assigning grades and endorsements for politicians — meaning they get elected and vote “right” on pure gun bills for now, but set up the conditions to undo all that later. And there are members who say he’s right, and actually offer up the “NRA is a single issue” diversion without ever refuting the real and direct threat to the Second Amendment (and to the Republic) such cultural terraforming creates. So to LaPierre, here’s a challenge (one he’ll never take on because he can’t):

In addition to explaining away the California experience, produce credible data – something that can be independently validated – that “amnesty” and a “pathway to citizenship” for MILLIONS of foreign nationals in this country illegally (and even legally, with current culturally suicidal policies) WILL NOT overwhelmingly favor “progressives” and anti-gunners. Show us your sources and methodologies for determining this WILL NOT result in supermajorities in state and federal legislatures that will be able to pass all kinds of anti-gun edicts. Show us how this WILL NOT result in nominations and confirmations of judges to the Supreme and federal courts who will uphold those edicts, and reverse gains made to date.

Notice I didn’t ask for platitudes or for anecdotes about exceptions to the rule, or about who is turning up in increasing numbers at gun stores and ranges – that doesn’t matter if he can’t point to a corresponding overriding shift in voting trends. I didn’t ask for wishful speculation about how education and outreach programs MIGHT help bring more over to the NRA side. I asked LaPierre (and his apologists)  to show how all credible estimates putting the disparity at over 70% Democrat and anti-gun are wrong (and how the needle barely moves in the right direction after 20 years).

The thing is, even that’s not the “the greatest domestic threat.”

Those bent on control can only get away with it because a critical mass of Americans is derelict in its duty and in its RIGHT to “guard with jealous attention the public liberty.” They’re asleep at the switch, uninformed, gullible consumed with trivial bread and circus distractions and lazy.  Even getting most of those who know better to do something, anything, can be like pulling teeth.

There are over 80 million gun owners. We could have uninfringed RKBA tomorrow, and no one would dare do a damn thing about it. It’s a phenomenon I call “Profiles in Apathy,” and if there’s a way to motivate citizens to assume the burdens and responsibilities of self-government that doesn’t require catastrophe, I stand ready to be educated.

Two quotes come to mind, the truth of which is indisputable.

The first deals with how we got to this sorry state:

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

The second deals with where we seem to be heading because of that:

“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”

Keep ignoring the growing (and perhaps irreversible) existential threat and that’s where we’ll end up, Mr. LaPierre. Me, I’d rather face academics, politicians and journalists any day.

UPDATE: SPLC resorts to a lame attempt at shaming to suppress an honest discussion on the negative effects of uncontrolled “immigration.” Note their new Astorturf effort doesn’t seem concerned about veteran disarmament.

UPDATE For those of you arguing for “legal”immigration:

Don’t forget the whole purpose of the Constitution and its delegated powers is “…to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.” And unvettable  (because credible and reliable records do not exist despite the lie that security screening is  “rigorous”)  Third World “refugees” are “legal.”

All immigration, starting in the 1840’s has been harmful to the Republic left to us by our Founders. If we do not end all immigration this tattered nation will cease to exist. Today we have more people who call themselves some bastardized hyphenation of American, instead of just American. If you look at maps that show how we identify ourselves the places where most people say “American” instead of “German-American” , “Irish-American”, or Hispanic-American are the places where our firearms rights are the strongest. I am American. First, Last, Always.

there is one pathway to citizenship… fill out the paperwork in your native country and when you pay the money required and pass a thorough vetting as long as the numbers we allow has not been exceeded then you may come in.. illegals, muslims and corrupt politicians need to be banned from all American soil… come in the right way so stay the hell out.

1840? Not so sure about that? But, the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 sponsored by the perpetually inebriate Teddy Kennedy (you know, the one that drowns women in the front seat of his car) has created the conditions that are posed to alter, irrevocably, the electoral complexion here in America. Here is an action plan to save America:
      1) Stop all immigration now, for at least the next 10 years.
      2) Defund and shut down the Office of Refugee Resettlement
      3) Immediately repeal the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965
After these three measures are taken, we can then begin to talk.

Sorry Codrea. I wish I could agree with you on everything you say. I support legal immigration. If legal immigration brings us an unconstitutional, no guns allowed government-at-all-levels and the inevitable predictable terrible consequences that will result, then it is because we’re damned and deserve them.

The good news is it only takes a determined minority of people like you and me to not let such a disaster happen. In that determined minority I guarantee that there will be more than a few legal immigrants.

To slam the point home by example, look at pro-gun Florida, chock-full of anti-Castro descendants.

I have listened to Wayne LaPierre in a couple of his NRA Ads and they are impressive. They are home-runs.

I bet you vote by party affiliation. To you it’s more important that your guy wins than what he actually stands for. The NRA is a government creation run by elitists and will always take your money and walk the grey line of compromise. I hope you open your eyes to the black and white cultural ramifications the author is talking about. it is only the European culture that has developed insights into the Natural Law from which comes our Natural Rights. It was done by fighting for thousands of years against kings and priests than claimed divine authority to make their own laws. The apex of freedom was reached by our founding fathers, who are now rolling over in their graves from watching thousands of years of struggle go down the drain.

You are spot on! I’d go back to Charlemagne, whose effort to promote reading and education triggered the masses into seeing and learning what tyranny Europeans were under from the church to the Kings absolute rule. It was not any other group that can take credit for our natural law constitution. Any man who agrees to wave it as just a passing is an enemy to our nation as it was intended. Accepting mass immigration to water down our heritage must end.

          LEGAL immigration is okay here with the understood concept that those people come here to BECOME Americans; they who come here because as the forefathers and framers said;

James Madison: “It is no doubt very desirable that we should hold out as many inducements as possible for the worthy part of mankind to come and settle amongst us, and throw their fortunes into a common lot with ours. But why is this desirable?”
“Not merely to swell the catalogue of people. No, sir, it is to increase the wealth and strength of the community; and those who acquire the rights of citizenship, without adding to the strength or wealth of the community are not the people we are in want of.”

My understanding of those words of James Madison (above), where he seems to have argued plainly that America should welcome the immigrant who could assimilate, but exclude the immigrant who could not readily “incorporate himself into our society”. That those that cannot be part of bettering our nation should not be allowed within our nation. Many of those “immigrants” who are really just illegals, and “refuges” who seem to plan to settle here by the actions being taken on their behalf – which makes them NOT refugees, but also illegals (in my book).

George Washington emphasized that immigrants should be absorbed into American life so that “by an intermixture with our people, they, or their descendants, get assimilated to our customs, measures, laws: in a word soon become one people.”

Alexander Hamilton: “The safety of a republic depends essentially on the energy of a common national sentiment; on a uniformity of principles and habits; on the exemption of the citizens from foreign bias and prejudice; and on that love of country which will almost invariably be found to be closely connected with birth, education and family.”

The survival of the American republic, Hamilton maintained, depends upon “the preservation of a national spirit and a national character.” He asserted, “To admit foreigners indiscriminately to the rights of citizens the moment they put foot in our country would be nothing less than to admit the Grecian horse into the citadel of our liberty and sovereignty.”

They felt that this (comments below this) is what would result in great harm to our nation…

Hamilton (again) warning us that in the past: “The United States have already felt the evils of incorporating a large number of foreigners into their national mass; by promoting in different classes different predilections in favor of particular foreign nations, and antipathies against others, it has served very much to divide the community and to distract our councils. It has been often likely to compromise the interests of our own country in favor of another.”
He added that “The permanent effect of such a policy will be, that in times of great public danger there will be always a numerous body of men, of whom there may be just grounds of distrust; the suspicion alone will weaken the strength of the nation, but their force may be actually employed in assisting an invader.”

I believe that is what is going on today. Those who serve within our governments – state and federal – are using the “immigration” and “refugee” BS as a means to get enough foreigners into our nation to either 1) destroy her from within. 2) use them as an invading first arm already placed within our borders. That this is being used by domestic enemies and traitors to destroy the USA and the American people (we only exist as long as their is an America).

Remember that “refugees” seek asylum TEMPORARILY, and plan to LEAVE to go back to their homeland and homes – that is NOT what we are seeing. Those who are getting homes and jobs from the
DOMESTIC ENEMIES and Traitors that serve within our governments are one way for us to openly recognize them (DOMESTIC ENEMIES and Traitors) and to charge and remove them as the enemies of our nation that they are, since they are using the “immigration” and “refugee” issue as another way to work against us and our nation.

Remember it was thought not that long ago in our past that ALL who immigrated here were to spend approximately 3 -5 years in a state bettering their lives to show us that they were the type of people we wanted in our nation BEFORE starting the actual immigration process (paperwork, etc).

It is not up to us to just accept anyone, it is up to the immigrant to prove that they are willing to become, and absorb the values of, an American. (As it was Obama’s duty and requirement to prove that he met the three presidential requirements, which he did not. Because HE did not, he was NEVER the US President and NOTHING that was done by his administration was/is Lawful, nor is it binding on the American people and our nation. Matter of fact, there is no agreement/law/etc created/made that can be Lawfully binding upon the American people and our nation if it does NOT follow the contract and compact that assigns the delegated powers and lists the duties of all who serve within our government.)

Those that come here illegally are already showing us that they are the exact opposite of the type of people we want here. THEY need to be removed.

George Washington, “Farewell Address”, September 17, 1796: “For this you have every inducement of sympathy and interest. Citizens by birth or choice, of a common country, that country has a right to concentrate your affections. The name of AMERICAN, which belongs to you in your national capacity, must always exalt the just pride of patriotism, more than any appellation derived from local discriminations. With slight shades of difference you have the same religion, manners, habits, and political principle. You have, in a common cause, fought, and triumphed together; the independence and liberty you possess, are the work of joint councils, and joint efforts — of common dangers, sufferings and success.”

For consideration, this – I believe after years of study – embodies the American spirit and concept our nation was built upon…

Thomas Paine: “’Tis the business of little minds to shrink; but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death.

My own line of reasoning is to myself as straight and clear as a ray of light. Not all the treasures of the world, so far as I believe, could have induced me to support an offensive war, for I think it murder; but if a thief breaks into my house, burns and destroys my property, and kills or threatens to kill me, or those that are in it, and to “bind me in all cases whatsoever” to his absolute will, am I to suffer it? What signifies it to me, whether he who does it is a king or a common man; my countryman or not my countryman; whether it be done by an individual villain, or an army of them?

If we reason to the root of things we shall find no difference; neither can any just cause be assigned why we should punish in the one case and pardon in the other. Let them call me rebel and welcome, I feel no concern from it; but I should suffer the misery of devils, were I to make a whore of my soul by swearing allegiance to one whose character is that of a sottish, stupid, stubborn, worthless, brutish man. …”

Cal: “LEGAL immigration is okay here with the understood concept that those people come here to BECOME Americans; they who come here because as the forefathers and framers said…”

I would agree with that partial analysis with the addition of one word to read “SOME LEGAL immigration is ok…”

The Framers were wise compared to our leaders today, but obviously could not anticipate everything. Mass immigration worked in 1776 due to:

            1. A tiny US population AND a tiny world population. Even if a third of the entire world’s population had moved here in one year, the US population would still be smaller than it is today.
            2. Competing claims and threats of aborigines, England, France, and Spain. Irrelevant now.
            3. “Free” government “services”, “free” $25,000-$30,000 per year K-12, and “social welfare” loafer programs: unimaginable.
            4. “Multicultural” perpetually unassimilated immigrants: unimaginable.
            5. Welcoming large numbers of fast breeding immigrants KNOWN to lean and vote socialist, anti-gun: unimaginable.

In 1800 the US non-aborigine population was 5 million plus an American Indian population of 2 million or so. The world population was less than 1 billion. Plenty of room compared to now.

In 1950 the US total population was 150 million and the world population was 2.5 billion. Still a fair amount of room.

67 years later, the US population is at least 330 million and the world population is over 7.5 billion. Our population has doubled but the cost of land — a huge percentage of the true cost of living and a huge indicator of quality of life, liberty, dignity, privacy and security — has skyrocketed, orders of magnitude higher than it was. But the relative population pressure between the world and the USA has increased enormously.

See my comment below. If you truly believed there’s no problem with numerically unlimited legal immigration and you opened the spigot, the US population would surge quickly to several billion before the pressure and quality of life equalized, i.e., before our quality of life and liberty was so thoroughly destroyed that the typical prospective immigrant would be better off staying in the third world. By then the USA would be as bad off as garden spots like Rwanda. We’d be living like rats, running on a rat race in a cage.

Long before then, the voting control of today’s citizens would be overwhelmed by immigrants who WILL continue to lean and vote overwhelmingly Democrat — for the entire Democrat agenda — as they have increasingly since the 1960s.

You cannot control this. It is simply a function of vastly excessive legal immigration. You cannot vet legal immigrants for how they will vote. Even if you could, it wouldn’t be enforceable and there’s no way to stop them from telling you whatever you want to hear in order to get in.

The problem… the great cognitive dissonance that has swept over America, prevents people from even grasping:

“…to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.”

Or, as the man at The Burning Platform recently said:

“I’m constantly amazed by the ability of those in power to create a narrative trusted by a gullible non-critical thinking populace. Appealing to emotions, when you have millions of functionally illiterate, normalcy bias ensnared, iGadget distracted, disciples of the status quo, has been the game plan of the Deep State for the last century. Americans don’t want to think, because thinking is hard. They would rather feel.”

The NRA has a long history of willingly tolerating the slow methodical diluting of our rights through delusional “compromise”. They have more than once even “championed” legislation that was a stupendous slap in the face to the citizens of this country. All under the pretense that “at least we got something, and that’s better than nothing at all”. And we have had to clean up the mess created by these “sell outs” every since. I have found alternatives to these “pro gun” organizations for exactly this reason. I support only NO COMPROMISE organizations, because when it comes to my natural rights, THERE IS NO COMPROMISE!

As long as the mission statement is solid, I believe in staying and changing things from within – shades of Charlton Heston? LaPew also worked with Harry Reid to “fix”, and then pass, anti-gun Obamacare, when GOA had exposed it as a gun control vehicle. Remember that when we end up with socialized medicine.

StormN1, and those who agree with him.
I’m not sure what mission statement you are talking about. Perhaps you can enlighten us as to what that might be.
The Second Amendment that the NRA supposedly supports, has 27 words in it. The most fundamental, and important aspect of that amendment, the first 13 words, is not only ignored, but is also disparaged by the board and membership.
The amendment was added to guarantee that “the Militia of the several States” could not be disarmed. The “Sovereignty” it exemplifies, and the law enforcement it enumerates has atrophied with the aid of the NRA and its members. It is the one tool the Founders deemed absolutely “necessary to the security of a free State”, but even Dr. Edwin Vieira has been unable to move the NRA towards embracing the full force of its importance.
Rep. Elbridge Gerry of Massachusetts: “Whenever governments mean to invade the rights and liberties of the people, they always attempt to destroy the militia, in order to raise an army upon their ruins.” – For those who haven’t a clue as to why the NRA is not only off base, but participatory in the undoing of “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness”.
Perhaps you might consider “changing things from within” by prompting the board their to stop misleading the membership and speak the truth.

“Wayne LaPierre has become a helluva a lot more aggressive in protecting our gun rights.”

I’m over 60 and I call B.S. We wouldn’t have anti-gun Obamacare if LaPew hadn’t collaborated with Reid to pass it. We wouldn’t have Veterans Disarmament if LaPew hadn’t pushed it hard. The ambiguous son of a B testified in congress for “gun free” zones, inserted “gun free” zones in the “shall issue” laws of states, fought efforts of state activists to abolish “gun free” zones (resulting in numerous massacres e.g., Virginia Tech, Orlando), and STILL pushes “gun free” zones. After Sandy Hook, rather than push the civilain carry POV — teacher, staff & parent carry — LaPew pushed the government carry POV, pushed for a half million or more new cops, cops in every school, at YOUR expense, as if that would stop the massacres, as if a cop can be in every room at once, as if we need a massive increase in government and government unions. He pulled out all the stops to keep his Bloomberg-collaborating open-immigration Left “Libertarian” Islamophile pal Grover al Nor’Qu’ist on the NRA board. That’s the tip of the iceberg of LaPew’s betrayals. For that he pockets $1-2 million a year out of a half a billion dollars a year donated by well meaning members.

With half a billion a year, if LaPew were really pushing gun rights instead of lining his pockets and those of his corrupt sweetheart contractors and phony pro-gun politicians, we’d be winning EVERYTHING instead of losing state after state like Washington and Nevada.

It is my fear that the greatest threat to America is Americans would willingly surrender their weapons in a confiscation rather than use them to resist one. (Kind of what you were writing, David) I don’t know how many there are, but if they want to do that I ask only that they give them to someone who WON’T surrender them first.

Sure, I can only shoot one at a time, but I could pass them on to somebody who would use them. And those hundred year old military rifles will still drop an enemy way out there, as will the 60 year old deer rifles. They only need a willing patriot to guarantee our freedom a second time. We can still win this fight if it starts, and we should stop being afraid to say so.

“We can still win this fight if it starts”

Uh huh. Maybe. Or maybe it’s a desperate struggle against all odds like Churchill said, because lazies didn’t take their citizenship responsibilities seriously and were unwilling to sacrifice peacefully to stop it when we had the chance. Maybe millions will die and we’ll lose anyway.

More prudent plan is to be responsible citizens, organize, volunteer, donate directly to good candidates and against bad, use the electoral tools we inherited, to make sure it never has to start. If even 3% of the population did THAT instead of tiger talking chatroom commando bad-ass posting, we’d be winning.

Armed revolution is a LAST resort, morally available only to those who pulled their weight as citizens, not a first resort for chatroom commandos (egged on by agents provocateur).

While illegal immigration is certainly a problem, it’s one that could be quickly and easily solved — by shutting off the magnets of work and welfare that attract most of them, harsh penalties (including confiscation of everything they have in this country) for being caught here illegally, and automatic disqualification of anyone here illegally from any status that would allow them to stay (opening the door to summary deportation, without any hearings). This problem is not being dealt with simply because most people in Washington, including the leadership organizations of both major political parties, and particularly the people who fund the party establishments, don’t want it stopped. Unless the power and corruption of the political parties is broken, it won’t be stopped.

The problem that LaPierre identifies is much more insidious and intractable. Most major sources of information in this country (and many other countries) have been taken over by socialist activists. From the permanent government bureaucracy that stays in place regardless of who is elected, to the overwhelming majority of the news industry — the general public is getting information that is inaccurate and incomplete, lies and propaganda. Most information we get from government agencies is manipulated to present supposed facts to the public that support the socialist agenda. The education bureaucracy, state, local and federal, is imposing a program of socialist propaganda and indoctrination on our young from pre-school, to graduate-school. These same sort of people dominate nearly all the so-called “mainstream” news outlets, tailoring the information that most of the public relies on to promote socialist policy and Democrat politicians, and portraying their opposition as lunatics, barbarians and Nazis.

They are training and indoctrinating a nation of compliant, socialist-minded sheep — and it’s working. Unless something can be done to combat this, and present the message of freedom and capitalism to a substantial portion of the population, this country is done. If things are allowed to continue as they are, it’s only a matter of time (and not that much time) before there is a permanent majority of socialist voters to vote away what liberty we have left. Just look at Europe — they’ve been trained so well that they’ve even lost the instinct for self-preservation. Their countries are being destroyed by a Moslem invasion, and they are more worried about upsetting the Moslems than preserving their culture and prosperity. Don’t say it can’t happen here, it is happening.

      Did LaPierre say that?

That would be helpful, but the notion that turning off the magnet of LEGAL jobs and welfare would quickly and easily solve the problem is wishful thinking. There would still be the underground of illegal jobs and welfare fraud.

And illegal immigration isn’t the only problem. Empirical evidence is overwhelming that immigrants both illegal AND legal, and their offspring, lean and ultimately vote anti-gun, welfare socialist, Democrat.

There are 5 billion people in the world who are poorer than the typical Mexican who immigrates to the USA. If we had open-immigration like LaPierre’s “Libertarian” pal Grover al Nor’qu’ist wants, people would come here by the tens of million, hundreds of millions, and ultimately billions, until the marginal immigrant could answer “NO” to the following question:

“Am I better off going to the USA than staying in [Rwanda, Syria, Darfur, India, Congo…]?”

Even if they could only earn $1 an hour here, billions of people would still be better off here than living in places like Rwanda.

The answer to that question would not be no until the USA was squeezed and destroyed, a Darwinian banana republic merged into a world government. Imagine, “Welcome to the USA, Population 3 billion.” Is that what you want? Because no one’s stopping you from living like that. Just open your house to 100 people to live with you.

Don’t kid yourself. If don’t very soon get control of our borders, slash immigration to the kind of beneficial trickle we enjoyed from the 1920s under Coolidge through the 1950s under Eisenhower, and end “birthright” citizenship, the USA is doomed. It already looks demographically like California did 20 years ago. Unless enough people very soon recognize over-immigration as the ultimate threat it is, then within 10 years of continued deluge immigration and anchor-Democrat fast breeding, Dems will have permanent supermajority control of all branches of the federal government and a supermajority of the states. Game over.

I am a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. I have watched various pro gun groups put down other pro gun groups over the years, usually hammering the NRA. I wonder what kind of progress could be made if all ya’ll groups got together and presented a united front! It seems you are doing the same thing the libtards are doing. Denigerating any group that does not think in lock step with ya’ll. I happen to be one of the people that took the 1st oath renewal for Oath Keepers on the Lexington Green when Oath Keepers was just starting. Just what do you think you are gaining with this article?

A united front behind national suicidal immigration policy? Good call.

I want nothing less than constitutional government. I (nor the Constitution) have no representation in DC (Trump has already bowed to the globalists and their neocons), therefore I have no country. I did not leave America, it left me. I have moved on and am not looking back.

    We need a divorce.

In 1990, after enlisting in the ANG, I swore an oath before God (whether knowingly or unknowingly THEN) to preserve and defend the Constitution for the United States of America from all enemies foreign and domestic. Sadly, today, our Constitutional form of government has essentially been overthrown, and the new supreme law of the land is whatever the political globalist elite say it is. The only way our republican form of government can be restored is if an uncompromising remnant of the PEOPLE determine to restore it by whatever means necessary. Quite candidly, we are near the point of no return. If true patriots cannot see this, then they are blind or just plain delusional. The Spirit of Liberty must reside first place in our hearts and minds if we are to rekindle the passion that our first generation of patriots had. There can be no compromise if the ideals of unalienable rights, liberty, and freedom are to be restored in our nation whose shores were once free from sea to shining sea. America has fallen. We are being controlled by a shadowy deep state who number one goal is to ignite WW3 at the expense of the blood of our youth. Their desire is nothing less than world domination, depopulation, and global communitarianism. The old America must be fully destroyed and fundamentally transformed according to their enacted plan. This transformation is nearly complete. Recently, we participated in a revolution of the ballot box. Sadly, instead of Trump draining the swamp as he initially set out to do, the swamp has drained him. We the patriots have failed him through our apathy and laziness. Until we step up to the plate remove the swamp monsters from office by whatever lawful means necessary, our birthright to liberty will never be restored as an inheritance for future generations.

David Codrea, You are absolutely correct. I was an NRA member, and fairly substantial contributor many years ago. I could no longer, in good conscience, continue on as a member.
You can see by the comments why the organization moves in the fashion it does, and why I disassociated myself with the group.
The NRA has the ability to solve a lot of our political woes by moving forward on the revitalization of the militia. However, I wonder if the organization has the ability to put a true general in charge of the fight? One person who will have the courage to inform the membership that they’ve been mislead. A person who has the fortitude to bring the fight to the very people who are supposed to be protecting our rights before it becomes a blood-bath in the streets of America.

Why does LaPew keep silent on over-immigration? Probably bought into his pal Grover Norquist’s Left “Libertarian” con job, sees it as a way to grow membership. You’ve heard the arguments:

“If we legalize 30 million illegals, bring in another 30 million legals, and pander to them in Spanish, we could have another 2 million NRA members! WOW!”

As if it’s raw numbers of NRA members that matter rather than relative strength. The “reasoning” is if we imported a billion people who vote 70% Democrat (and 29% for “cheap labor” open-immigration RINOs), we’d still be fine as long as we “reach out” and pander to them in some language and get 1% of them to join the NRA.

The only thing 5 million more NRA members would do in that scenario is give the vampires who control the NRA another half a billion dollars to waste, pocket, and funnel to phony “A” rated gun grabbers and RINOs, while California continues to metastasize nationwide and Bloomberg continues taking state after state.

California has already metastasized to Oregon, Nevada, Washington, soon to be followed by Texas (YES TEXAS) and Arizona (YES, ARIZONA). It’s already happening, and it will soon be irreversible.

“Immigrants are naturally conservative” … “Catholic immigrants are extra naturally conservative”, etc. What a load. If they’re naturally conservative, they wouldn’t be voting 70% Democrat and 29% RINO. They know damn well when they vote D they’re voting for partial birth abortions and gun bans, but they do it anyway, including ones who claim to be anti-abortion and pro-gun, because even if they are, those priorities are at the bottom of their list compared to “social welfare”, etc.

    WAKE UP. There’s little time.
